I just got my Apexi avc-r installed. I guess the phrase that sums it up best is....The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
I was so scared to even try the install, that I waited all day to start it. Well actually I was watching the British Open. It took a little less than two hours to get started and take the first test drive. It was a piece of cake. I did spend about an hour and a half this morning searching every thread in every forum that I could find. I printed out about twenty pages of info, but I ended up not needing it. Once I got started it was pretty self explanatory. If I hadn't been such a chicken shit, I would have had it done Wednesday when it came in the mail.
The bad news is and I know I'm going to catch hell for this so I'll help you out..........::hah:: ::hah:: I just had my targa top sitting in the roof and not bolted in. I did this with my other supra too about three years ago. At exactly 80 mph (same as other time) the top flew about twenty feet in the air and did a perfect spiral. Came to a crash, and skid across the pavement about fifty yards before hitting a ditch. FUBAR!!!!!!! I tried to straighten it out, but there's no way. I took the black one out of my donor car and installed it. Fits like a glove. Looks kind of cool too. I'll have it painted later.
