Hey Ken, just FYI, theres a junkyard a couple miles from my house with a homo blue 89, pretty sure the pass door is in good condition, and i could most likely get it pretty cheap for you, i always go to this yard and they hook me up on parts.

knew you wouldnt be supra-less for long

Yeah I did the exact same thing. I saw my 89 on craigslist and I told my girlfriend That i just want to go look at it because the price was super low and it looked great in the pic. I ended up taking it home. Now I am gonna sell my 90 1jz and keep the 89. Damn craigslist!!!!

Can't believe it hasn't been asked yet--this gonna be ready for 2k10???

J/K :) Looks like it's got some potential, looking forward to the final outcome!

Um..yeah...sure. I plan on driving it down to Houston.....Ok not really.

I need to start dismantling the engine so I can take it for a rebuild. It's going to have stock internals with studs and a MHG of some sort. It'll be at the shop for a while since I'll be paying out on it. That'll give me time to clean up the engine bay real good and shop around for a decent clutch.

I finally got around to seperating the engine/tranny. Now I'm going to start tearing it down so I can take it to the shop.

And yes, I created an oil spill. What's a 7M in a garage without an big oil spill?:biglaugh:

Great to see you not taking my pace with the car.

That was a freebie left on by the junkyard.

I am too. I'm anxious to see how it all turns out.

On another note, I psuedo acquiring an 88 gay blue parts car. I will not bring it home. I'm just going to strip what I want off of it at the place it's at now and then have it hauled off. It's not worth resurrecting.

Hey so you are scrapping the project? I saw a 87 gay blue turbo 5 speed here in San Marcos for $1250 on craigs list of course. Its suppose to have 65000 miles. The only thing is that it has no engine. I've seen this car around town for a couple of years now Very clean. I would pick it up but I have my hands full with my 1j and my project 7m.

No not scrapping the project, I was just saying I found an 88 parts car that's the same color. I'm going to take a few things off of it and have it hauled off.

Pitting or not, it looks 100% better. Can't wait to see the valve covers and the turbo heat shield.

Oh, and a little update. I've made some major changes to the interior. I'll post some pics up later.

Man that powder coating make a big difference. looks great.

Gts By any chance do you have a extra side molding for the drivers side door in good shape? I know you had that parts car.

I ended up buying that 87 gay blue down here. and the drivers side molding is messed up.
