Not bad at all, barely any debris, surprisingly nice, not as clean as the valves I just peeked at, from the Methanol.

Keep up the good work, brother! As Scott said, it's good to see more good things happening with this Supra.

So im assuming this car is no longer for sale? I would love to do a build just like this. One day.

Not sure at this point, but she is not off the market, once I drive her, that may change.

Jeff, always a pleasure to hear from you and Scott, just wish Matt would log on once! Means a lot man, and keeps me motivated.

Polishing runners and such.

See the difference? Radiator explosion stole the shine, but I put it back...Don't worry I bought the real vent hoses that go between valve covers.

New Polyurethane mounts!! BARELY clear the wastegate, I got lucky as hell!

After loosing sleep using the same flywheel bolts like a complete idiot in a hurry to get things done, I nyquilled that shit! These took forever to get here, stuck in PA for some reason for a week!? Anyways, resting easier now.

Polishing the crap out of her, runners took 3 days easy! I can taste the aluminum!

Soo pretty!

Started to even polish cams, I kept polishing...but these are tough..

Almost forgot anti heat soak intake gasket, and 68 degree thermostat! These with the Mishimoto rad n fans will keep this engine super cool. 155 Fahrenheit.

Flywheel bolts cleaned, lock tight added and torqued to 36 ft lbs, the turned 90 degrees. Flywheel and Pressure plate surface cleaned, and installed... Then something bad happened...

While I turned the flywheel with a screwdriver my cousin was watching the damper timing mark, and I had it barely on with no key just to get the cam gears perfect (forgot the lower timing gear had a mark so really didn't need damper on) my cousin pushed on the damper and it cracked where the key and removal tool thread were. I couldn't believe it. This was ready to go in the car. I guess It's good because it must have been defected. Needless to say, a Fluidamper is on it's way. This is really getting over budget...

Be glad it cracked while it was on the stand, vs exploding and destroying your engine / bay while running...

And I know allll about the getting over budget thing. I didn't plan on replacing my slave cylinder any time soon, but my clutch blew that one out (had 30k miles on it used, heavier PP, etc). Didn't plan on replacing my trans mount but found the bonded rubber was separating from the steel... so I'm buying a new polyurethane one from BIC. Haha.

And I mocked up my new turbo manifold and wastegate, and found that the W/G is literally 1/2" - 3/4" from the motor mount... so poly mounts I can't use... it's either brand new stock or solids >.<

Gotta love these cars, right?

Moy, what's up man!? Please allow me to show you just how close I cleared the mount. I may add a second pic pannind the camera left to show just how close the mount is to my wastegate. I got lucky as hell. These cars are gods gift to us!

Sorry I cut that short, my little brother is home from the Air Force so I had to wrap that post up, now that I have time here's a second pic *panned to the right, so close which is the only reason I kept the same Mani. Agreed with the damper luckiness btw, and these projects breaking budgets. I found myself looking at New shiny bolt kits, and thought...F@ck this I'm not going to be a four year build guy, I need this going yesterday! Pedal AntiLag and fan relays are all to get her going for break in mode. Running same fuel rail and injectors to break in clutch 400 miles. I should have done this work for a living, I love it, just not paying out the a$$ for parts. At 5K so far easy! (in the last few months alone)

If you have a smart phone then download Tapatalk. Come to supramania, touch anywhere on my thread and options will come up. Just hit reply arrow and you can create text and click the camera to add a pic. I hate using my phone as peeps can't see pics unless signed in. I try to put the photobucket embed effort forward for the good pics... (at least for the last couple pages I have been doing so). Had the wastegate hit I would have cut it before the flange and bent it out of the way and welded it. It wouldn't dictate my poly mounts! As long as it seals and has a passage for exhaust to escape, I wouldn't care! Perhaps consider it? Never tried it though... Also getting the poly trans mount (Aaron and I had some problems thus the late/outsourced flywheel bolts) amongst some very, very unexpected expensive fittings. Never new A/N fittings were so much! Three put me at half a Benji, and that's the end of only one line! Sh!t!

Well time for another update, a crap ton has been done, starting with the fluidamper.

Dropped her in yesterday! Feels good man.

It's TIAL time! (This thing has been waiting to go on for months... I guess just stopped being lazy, ordering the lazy quick adapter, instead of welding the flange :)

Time to sneeze properly!
