Wow i love how the tints look with the rear sun shade..I have to save up for that..Keep up the good work

Yeah pretty happy with it, the tinting place were telling me how difficult it was to get in to the rear side windows I had to go back for them to be done again I wasn't very happy about that, but got them done just in time for the weekend. Sunshade completes the rear I think, in my opinion it makes the rear window look less long/big was a great buy

Hi all, today after a very long time tracking down the "correct" hub kit for my steering wheel I decided to go pick up the "correct" hub kit after work today.

The hub is not so correct after all, disappointing really.

On a much finer note my new clutch came in the mail which I will install sometime soon

Random picture I took after leaving the shed tonight

Do you have details of where you got this from? or was it a single item fro ma member?

Hey mate, yes I bought it off the member KevinM from the sates, he was more than happy to ship it over to New Zealand. Very fast also, only took around 4-5 days, excellent trade and communication

I have some news on estimated times of arrival on parts for the supra the shocks from Bilstein will arrive mid July, the sway bar will arrive mid June and I should receive the springs by Friday.
Quite a long wait but should be worth it, it's taking so long as they are the only stockists where I live and they don't keep stock. Everything is ordered on request.

Received a price for the tail light gaskets they are $86 each which is up there so I will think on that one, bonnet struts are $45 each with staff discount so I will need two of them, hopefully there will be more updates in the days to come.

Thanks for the info regarding the sunshade.
For the taillight gaskets- try driftmotion (US), North Shore Toyota (in NZ), Elmhurst Toyota (US). They should be considerably cheaper I imagine.
Hood struts from Driftmotion $22 each, plus shipping- http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-mk3suprahoodstrut.php

Oh great I'll check your suggestions out now, cheers.

And no worries on the shade info, really sets off the rear of the car, love mine.

Very nice, is transmission work difficult? Like replacing the clutch and pressure plate compared to a head gasket?

Well in my honest opinion, everyone just says, yeah it's easy - no hassles.

Well i'm just going to be honest and i think this is the reason the forum is here, to help each other. As some people may be ashamed in saying the job is hard. First off, the starter motor needs to be removed before you do anything which isn't the hardest job, pretty straight forward just very tight to get to. the interior components are very easy to take apart and even easier if you have the workshop manual. The hardest part I found was getting the left hand side top (passenger side for me as we are right hand drive) gear box bolt out. Other than that it is just awkward getting the drive shaft out, well was for me as remember this is my first supra, and basicly the first time doing proper maintenance on the car other than servicing.

The seals are VERY easy to come out which I was very happy with, but other than it is is quite straight forward, just take your time and make sure you know what your doing and what you will need prior to starting. That's what I didn't do and ended up driving around trying to find seals and gaskets. But good luck ask me any questions if you get stuck.

And yes, we all knew what we were doing. Just never had any of us done the clutch on a supra.

So the clutch is amazing, now I need a new clutch master cylinder which may be hard to track down. And guess what my suspension gear arrived today just waiting on a sway bar (mid this month) and the fourth Bilstein shock (mid next month) photos up later today

Great detailed work Ryan I bet it shifts like Butter... Keep it up..

Cheers, took quite a while I'd say close to 10 hours but I now know what to do if I ever need to do it again. Shifts great the change is unbelievable but for now the supra is off the road as the clutch master needs replacing, noticed it was very slowly leaking onto the foot rest next to the clutch pedal inside of the car.
