i hate waiting for anything and wanted the car back already but it needs too much so had to tear it all down. This will show a quick build thread of the motor and car. Lots of newengland rust so it needs paint and rust repair enjoy..

so the car was supposed to be painted on for friday but we ran into some unexpected rust. The inner wheel arch and needs to be replaced so i will cut one out on sunday. Also the tripple plate clutch has arrived in cali, so i should have it for fri till then more pics.

block is waiting to be put together and painted but i want to pick up the car first. Today i will cut out the rear section so should have more pics.

more pics the lower section shown here was totally rusted out came out good. Guy at the body shop is a metal worker so minimal bondo is used. first welded then shaped and ground down then bondo and primer up close looks stock and never touched.

cut the lower rusted under the paint sections out of the door and fixed. Metal used was from a donor hood from a mkiii.

ok so i went out and cut a rear section yesterday off a donor car. Also pulled out the windshield as there is a bit of rust on the top pillar. I also want to see if there is any behind the glass.

here is a pic not in my carnage thread. this is the result of 23psi and no race gas. Had an over boost when i first put on my 74mm. Car was running at 18psi with the 67 on pump and all was well. When i switched to the 74 along with a much bigger intercooler the new lowest boost was 23psi. Funny thing is there were no signs but excessive blow by on the dyno when at 30psi. When i pulled the crank to check the bearings i saw this. The hole goes down to the second ring, it only had half a ring up top. I cant believe it mad all that power with a bad piston, i also found a big boost leak in my intercooler pipe. A bit of polishing and some paint and my piston is good as new lol.

just to be sure however i will send out the injectors to be checked if they test ok i will move my egt to that port on the mani
