It seems the clear corners for both styles of MKIII are drying up or something. Vendors get in a couple pair and then are out of stock for months... I dunno what's up. They're usually found on E-Bay, suprasport, procarparts, etc.

EDIT: Oh and taking the lenses off is cake, two screws, one on the side and one inside the upper grill.

Wait.. so you have clear lenses? I didn't know anyone made them like that. From what I know you can only get the whole light.

The turn signal housing are one sealed unit. Replacing just the lens could be done, but you'll need to fabricate a replacement lens for the housing. I don't know of any who makes just the lens.... though I suppose Wolfie does that, but to my knowledge he's never made the turn signal lenses.

i got clear fronts a couple days ago from Wolfie. but they are for 89+. to my knowledge, he hasnt made any pre 89s. i assume the procedure would be similar if not exactly the same for both models. heres the instructions he sent me but i havent tried it yet. i hope he doesnt mind me posting this.

Fitting instructions for Supra Mk3 front indicator/sidelights

First the little pin that goes thru the curved part of the lens and case at the end needs to be removed. The easiest way I have found is to apply a soldering iron to it for 20-30 secs. This softens the surrounding material enough for you to whip it out with a fine nosed pliers.

Then the units need to be placed in an oven preferably fan(if gas take extra care not to melt the casing. Preheat to 100deg and place unit on some newspaper or oven glove so its not directly on a metal shelf.

Place unit in oven for 5-10 mins after which you should find the sealant has softened enough for you to be to pull the lens from the backing. Most of the back sealant will be left in the recess of the backing, but you can pull bits off while still warm and poke back into the recess(you may need to warm the backing up again) - a hairdryer can be used for this if you like.

Also using a small flat blade screwdriver, poke down the black goo back into the channel while still warm. If you keep dipping it in water, it stops the screwdriver sticking to it.

I also like to paint the rear edge with a little black model paint (just the face that pushes into the mastic) I think it gives a slightly more factory look, but it’s just a matter of personal preference

Making sure the unit is warm and the sealant still partly soft, the new lens can be pressed into position. Should you need to slightly adjust the profile of the lens to achieve a perfect fit, use a hairdryer to carefully warm the lens and press it into position and smooth over using a soft clean cloth.

You should then be able reinsert the original pin to secure the end of the lens through the case.

I have used black vinyl strip in place of the original painted edge. It may not be water proof, so you can remove it if you like or mask and spray the edges instead.
