the power I have now would be scary as hell in an s-chassis.. S13 weighs like 2700lbs IIRC, so it doesn't take a whole lot to make it a deathtrap lol
Problem is, then you'd have a deathtrap that looks like a can of crushed assholes... what's the point?

If you want scary power in a lighter chassis, use a Mk2 Supra. Mark's with a 500rwhp 2J is a damn fine example.

no, I agree that the s13 is the epitome of a shitbox (I find the s14/s15 to a be a much nicer car even though they're all overdone x9000).. There are nicer s13s (like the 180 type-X), but 99.9% of them are in Japan.

in regards to the mk2, I'm not a big fan of them as crazy as that may seem. I'd rather have a clean Z31 or 240Z lol

Is your car auto? Take a trip to the strip and see what it does. Find out what your car weighs, factor in your trap speed, and see roughly how much horsepower your car is making. You can bench race all day, but hard data is better.
If you were talking about my setup, no not auto. Ran something like 13.4@104-ish, dyno'd 320rwhp.

Also he has a 1jz there alittle lighter then the 7m.
Not so sure about that, but there are probably a handful of threads that have debated that before...

Year, make and model? The later crossover cars were heavier still. Road and Track put the 89 hard top with a 5 speed on a scale and it was 3772 with a curb weight listed at 3620.There is about 40 lbs not accounted for if you take out the fuel weight. Threads like this make me think I should give it up and install an LS3. The 7M is fantastic in a MA67.
My car is an 89 Mk3, 87/88 subframe setups, R154, 1jz, stock turbo/intercooler seup. With a handful of things that don't really need to be in there, such as the bits of Dynamat and a couple small audio upgrades, that is what my car weighs, roughly.

I approve of the LS3 though, those motors feel like they want to rev forever, but eventually they cut you off. Would love to build one with a 7500rpm redline. As for the 7m in the Mk2, it's like a natural swap... do it. ;)

Really? Drop a stock 2JZ with everything from the Aristo in a S13, then get back to me. Those cars are dangerous with 400HP.
S13's are just dangerous cars. I don't know if it's just the suspension, or the chassis design, but even under stock power they like being sideways more than a cheap Cambodian hooker...

on a side note, I always imagine the thrill of having even something like 300whp in a 240z (2350lb curb weight)..
I've been in Andy's (of ARZ Performance) 71 240z, has a 486-ish whp 7m in it. That thing is damned frightening, he ruined my sense of speed...

Hey, friends don't let friends drive Nissans... I'd approve of the 240, but the z31? Yech. :nono:

I actually love Nissans for the most part, I was just never much of a fan of the s-chassis or Z32.. Now about the Z31, the interior is incredibly dated, that I'll give you, but the exterior when done right can look really cool IMO.
