Flywheel. Im not aware of any factory hp rating that is to the wheel.

So its about 190-200ish to the wheel new.

Hmm so with my mods and 9lbs I'm probably at 230-250 range

my mustang stock ran a 14.9 at 93 mph sir, so with the altitude, id say it was right on par for a 14.3

and your car seems healthy, did you talk to the guy in the Z to get some more info?

either way good run though
I didn't get to talk to him all i know is it had aftermarket exhaust and it was a stick shift.

Something like that.

Engine condition and tune play a major role in how much power your actually putting out.

no way in Hell mine would do that although everything in the motor is mostly new gasket and bolt and hoses but I just don't see me making anymore then 260hp and even then gaining 70 to 80 HP off of exhaust and intercooler

in 2004 at the chicago supra meet, my car made 225 whp and 272 wtq with just intake at 8psi and auto to 5sp swap, ran a 15.0 at 93 on the dyno too, kind of fun and 0-60 in 6.5 seconds

and then in sacramento ran a 14.6 at 93 with the special hose pulled

with lex afm and cut exhaust and ebc, ran a 14.2 at 98 mph, but no dyno, and i was able to get a 2.1 60 ft in sac also but not on that 14.2 run

now i have 3 in bic ddp, lex afm, 550's, exhaust, ebc, safcII, but havent been able to really run it so i dont know where it stands now

Special hose?

i forget the name of it, it's the one closest to the afm, wont idle so you have to keep giving it gas, but it sure does make a difference

a friend, MattOneDime gave me that tip, dont do it with the lex afm though, only a stock afm

Your basically just have a vacuum leak. Doesnt sound like a special hose just more of a problem.

This is simple...

Look at your altitude. Boosted engine doesn't give a crap what altitude you're at, you'll still make the same power as it will cram more air in to hit it. NA car just falls on it's face at altitude...

Really hmmm is must be track conditions making us run faster down there then

Would only increase lag. Or if you're pushing the turbo outside of it's efficency.

There's a reason the Pike's Peak cars are turboed :) Not to mention what we did to airplanes during WWII...

nah wasnt out of its effeciency range, right around 8psi, maybe it was me, but she just didnt have that kick that she had at sea level

Not yet.. But i honestly dont believe its 13sec quick. but idk i do live in Tucson and cars always run slower out here.

As it's been said... elevation. KILLS NA cars. My Mk2 with the 6m was an absolute blast down closer to sea level, up here in the mountains, the thing is blech for power. :nono:

why Would you run slower in tucson, Everytime I drove down to tucson from PHX my 1J seem to feel quicker...
Eh, my car feels the same once the boost comes on, but down in Vegas I hit fuel cut WAY too easily, where as up here, never happened.

BINGO! Also, boosted engines with tiny turbos don't seem to do as well at higher altitudes... mine falls on it's face (as far as building power) at about 5000rpm. Down closer to sea level, it seems to do a little better above that point.

This is the only difference I've noticed. Up here, turbos are spooled up around 3k to peak psi, down south, by 2500 they're at the same point.

Hell, we still do it. High performance single engine planes like the Cirrus GTS and Columbia 400 are both twin turbo.

And with intake, exhaust and MAFT, I made 260/260 rwhp/tq on 7.5 psi. That's close to 290 flywheel hp. So there's no reason
Habanero can't be even higher than that with his setup.
