I was going this way before the ITBs. The spacing for the lower to upper intake is closer than a complete 2J intake. Yes the ACIS would work too. The 7M throttle body is close in size to the 2J. To me it is a winwin and a very nice mod if someone would see it thru. We did flow the 7M intake on my head to see if it would kill what we worked so hard to achieve. That is why I started looking for something better. I don't recall the numbers as it was not a major thing to record.TRACKMKIII said:What do you have to do to adapt it? Will you still use the 7m throttle body? Will the ACIS still work the same? This would be sweeeet!!!

No. The 2J "Y" pipe, 2J upper and use the 7M lower. You would need an adapter to mate the 2J upper to the 7M lower.TRACKMKIII said:???? Are you saying to only swap the "Y" pipe?
On my set up the ITBs are from a RB26, which will be speed density. My EMS is Holley 950.foreverpsycotic said:what TBs are you using, and do you have more information on these ITBS, and this may seem like a little OT, but what management are you using, maft in speed density?

Noboby has done a test to compare the two yet. The one that can flow the highest cfm, would be what you want. I would say ITBs would be the winner, but like I said no side by side test yet. Also a ported or a modified N/A 2J intake may be a good cost offset to ITBs.fandffan said:I've been thinking about just staying NA on my supra. So how's the ported intake compared to the ITB's?
And to the thread creator looks like you are doing a good job porting the intake. Keep us posted!

I'm using the plenum from the Skyline also. I'm working on a hood that will vent or ram air into the plenum without looking stupid with a large filter box.89jdm7m said:just curious, since you've done tons of research on it.. but how does air filtration on itb's work? or is that completely done away with?
