I would not run a 255/40 up front. Go 235 or 245.

Why? He's on stock suspension, he should be fine. The wheels are gonna poke out a bit no matter what with +22, but I think he'll be fine. The only thing I can think of is he might get a tiny bit or rubbing at full lock on the fender liners, but I think it may clear.

i'm running a 245/40/18 up front with a 9inch wide +15 offset wheel and the car is fairly low and here's how it sits...

if you want a 4x4 then i'd recommend the tyre sizes you suggested but until you drop your car considerably, the offsets that you mentioned simply wont work, at all, no matter what tyres you go with.

FWIW i was actually going to get 5-7mm (if feasible) machined off the centre of the wheels to make them a +22 and my estimates tell me they will sit very nicely but my car is a lot lower than stock.

next thing he should do ,is put big spacer's between the frame's and add some longer shock's.then he'll be ready for some wheeling.

oh sorry, should have clarified. i speaking merely on the aesthetics i.e. "muddin tires" reference. yes the 17" would be taller, but the same look so to speak. of course the width of the rim will play a part in the sidewall shape as well. wait, 28"? doh! i reread and now see op is asking about 75 series. pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

i already ordered 245/40/17's for the front and 275/40/17 for the back. i talked to one of my friends who changes rims twice a year and thats what he recommended.

But he is also the one that recommended the 50 series just because he KNOWS that i wont be able to afford coilovers or shocks and springs anytime soon.

He loves a pancaked car. if you want to talk shit about his opinion. he would smoke the shit out of you!gt4088 garrett on a 2jz and a full coilover suspention .....(his suspention costs your supra!! and the 50 series was recommended by him,at FIRST.)

and YES i do like taking my supra off roading....... when i have my stock suspention and sawblades on. i will completly stop once i get suspention and rims on!

(i just had to say it! i know its going to get a few people mad.)

Well, hey, at least he's proving to be consistently dim-witted. Upholding a long standing tradition in Florida!
