I recintly got my car on the road and I think I'm running a bit hot. I've been building from 90 degrees celsius to 120 degrees celcius. I feel like 120 is too high. Does anyone else measure by celcius? What is too hot?

Your thermostat is shot, doesn't open (enough) anymore.

More likely the radiator is getting clogged, or the fan is not pulling enough air.

Coolant temps should never be over 212 deg F (100 deg C).

You use electric fans? :3d_frown:

How would you determine whether your thermostat is shot, and though I think I know where it is on the 7m (near the CPS little to the front of it) is that really where it is?

To test: Take out your thermostat. Put it in a pot filled with water. Bring it to a boil, and see if it opens.

I would replace it regardless if I had it out though.

You should use a thermometer to make sure it's opening at the right temp.

I'd take Jose's advice and get rid of those e-fans first.

Head test came up posative for leaks so I either have a blown head gasket or a crached head. I however don't think it's a blown headgasket because of two reasons. 1: it's an HKS head gasket and I know it's not improbable to blow but given the circumstances, I don't think it did. 2: There's no coolant burning out of the exhaust. So I think it's a cracked head. What do you guys think?

P.S. The fans worked great maintaining the temp when I was twin turbo.
