you should look at other turbo brands then, there are plenty of turbos like the 35r. i would start looking at precision 61mm turbos because they are the same size as the 35r just cheaper by a couple of hundred bucks, just call or go look at the precision website
What is the precision model that is similar to the BB GT35R? I know the SC61 is similar. Is the BB version basically the same as the GT35R? Why are they the same price? It seems you can get a genuine garrett for about 1300 and a precision Sc61 for about 1300.

I come from a land down under
3540r is a BB turbo with a .70 Compressor cover, swap in a .60 and it's no longer a 3540R it's a hybrid....

If you think that little cover will give the same performance as a real 3540R you're mistaken (had one on the dyno last month).

It's hard enough to make sense of turbo's without people swapping parts and still referring to them as "xx..xx" :nono:

A compressor cover doesn't change a turbo though. A .60 on a GT3582 is still a GT3582.

If its a true GT35R garret housing you should have a garret part number and plate on the bearing housing look up the part number on garrets web page or google it it will tell you the specifics about your turbo based on that but it does like like a garret with an undivided T3 .6ar cool .58 hotside

Almost seems more like a GT30R though wont know until you look it up.
