Im in the middle of rebuilding my 1990 7M.I talked with numerous people about this.id like to hear what you guys think,and what kinda power you drive around with

With the best parts around,rebuilt tranny,stand alone managment etc,how much rwhp is it possible to get out of the 7M,and what is "safe" to use on a daily bases?

BHP? (Crank HP)

Most people here speak RWHP and is way different to at the crank.

When mine is running I'm around the 550rwhp mark daily.

Tune is King get it even a little wrong and you have seconds before damage.

Yea i mean crank hp when i say BHP.but RWHP is fine too

No im pretty far from stock anything really

ITS T4 turbo good for 650-700 crank hp

Balanced and blueprinted
HKS 2.0mm stopper
Crower 272 w/ spring-retainer kit
Head ported at a specialist,3 angle valve job etc

Rebuilt tranny to withstand alot of abuse
ACT PP
Link standalone

Thats about it for internals plus a few other bits

Should i be safe with 550-600 RWHp on this setup?

With the best parts and a good tune, I'll be seriously surprised if a few people on here don't break the 1000rwhp mark shortly.

What's safe to drive with on is a different story. Personally, I'm in the group that believes power without control is useless, and there is a max tire size that you can really fit on the car. Add in the fact that I'm unwilling to drive around with drag slicks on the car, like some do, and you're really pushing it when you start to approach 600rwhp.

my car stock, or nearly stock dyno'd great numbers, 250hp 286touqe. at 9psi. however, since then i'v done things like 60-1 turbo, full 3in exhaust, 255 fuel pump, and other things that should have my car at least over 300hp, and now im also running 14psi.. however my car recently only dyno'd at 266hp and 282torque with all the new mods,,, i wasnt to pleased with that at all. of course i had to do about 6 runs in a row before they got a decent reading so it was heat soaked, also found out my manifold gasket was leaking alot. got all that fixed and now have other issues.. dont know if i'll ever be up in the 400hp range like i would love to be. heck i'd be happy with 350-380tho. would love to hit 400 one day. i thought with the mods i have now i should be close to 350 especialy with how my car killed some pretty fast cars on the highway :D
