hey just figured i'd let in everybody on my mk3 87 targa top build. it all began as a 7m build til i fried it( rod bearings bye bye)

btw i justed pulled all this from my page off of www.idahomotorsports.com (beware i restate alot of stuff lolz


i did love the 7m, but there was a 2j with a built bottom end in my area for cheap so here i am.

current mod list:

any ways it has slight rod knock so out it comes!
it will be gettin built by a buddy an into his jeep..

plan is to throw in a 2j but its gonna be a month or so till i have it. (gotta save up some cash)

aem uego wide band.(4 sale decided to go a diff route)

well got the the 7m out took a lil while but thats cuz i screw around. any ways its now sitting in my garage..

any body wanna buy it? it needs a basic rebuild the rod bearings out.. also have a 6 puck clutch for sale along with the old turbo that was on it. best offer takes it.

will update later tonight to show what will replace the 7m

hey i was also wondering for electronics.. do i need the 2j harness or does the aem ems come with the harness? is it a ecu delete? or wut.. sorry im newbtastic

UPdate.. its been a while since ive done anything wit this.. but i am supposed to recive more parts today. (will post on arrival)

parts are:
1jz to r-154 bell housing
1jz fly wheel
1jz fly wheel bolts
r154 shifter bushing

more parts will be coming in!

hopfully the motor will be in the car next week or 2

btw what do u guys think for a fuel setup.. im a newb still so im learning on the go..

i hope to make at least 800 by the end of the build
i already have a walbro 255 and an aeromotive fpr

should i get bigger lines? i have 650 injectors in the 2j also

Dang.. That 2j looks all nice and polished up! Got to admit that no matter how much you loved your 7m, that the 2j just looks way way cleaner and less cluttered.. This build should be sweet!

For 800whp youre going to need more fuel than that. Most likely bigger injectors and another Walbro (or external pump).

This is quite a swap for a "newb". Impressive.

thanks ya i was aware of needing tons more fuel ha im doin work!

this is my first project im 19 a still a noob to the car/ supra world i came from the x-runner forums so im used to toyota at least

been sanding an getting ready to paint the engine bay since i want somthing that i can eat off not literally

23 years of crap that fell into the sides. tools leafs wires money lol

finally went and got a lift.. now i got the pan off and shipping it out tommarow so the new one can get here

and we decided to send the whole car off for paint now before motor goes in so.. kinda wasted effort lol

Damn, looks like you're taking the time to do it right. I would kill for a garage like that to do my work in. Would make it a hell of a lot easier.
