Well as some of you know I am rebuilding my 7m... Well I planned to have it done in the late fall but hurricane Katrina decided to interrupt that date. I finally got my stuff to the machine shop and what not and ordered these wed. the 9th and got them today 11th. I took them to the machine shop so after they get finished with machining they can balance the motor. I have eagle rods that I was the first to post pictures of a few months ago. Now I got my .040 over Wiseco's today!

yeah, from what i understand, most if not all piston MFR's dont have the facilities to do ceramic or powder coatings in-house. if anything, they have an agreement to send out their parts to another ceramic coating facility that has the resources to do such work to a certain level of quality.

like, i would build a car for someone if they wanted, but im not going to do custom upholstery because i cant do it to the quality level that specialized interior business can do.

what kind of rods are those too?

The eagle rods in the pictures looks funny to me.

This is my question, is crank bearing section of the rod ( bottem) halved yet or is it un cut? WTF? I know its probably the resolution...but heh it cought me off gaurd!

i think it's just the reolution/flash... i can see a line on the inside.

I know Jake over at Mk3Tech has a set of unmachined Mecharts there but I can't see a company sending out a set unfinished to a retail customer!

The 7M Eagles came out after I'd dropped the $$$ for the Pauters or I would have tried a set of them!

Yes I'm hoping to have as much fun as I can soon. Still tossing up turbo ideals and setups. Jake I'd love to but I'm pretty much covered. Gotta take the flywheel and harmonic balancer to the machine shop so they can balance it all. I'm overbuilding for my plans but hell I like to have room to grow cause we all know you're always gonna want more. I'll get pics after I get it all back together. I still gotta order a few more things such as main bearings, rod bearings, oil pump, and thrust washers. Atleast i'll have the block finished. Then moving right along to the head!!!
