anyone use the logitech g25 gaming control? is it worth it to drop $300 for it. it comes with a 900 degree steering wheel, a 6 speed shifter and .... clutch- brake- gas pedals with different resistances. ive had my eye on it since it came out.

I've had one since they were first released. Usually use it for Gran Turismo, but I use it on my PC occasionally (or I used to). It's in my cockpit setup now though, so not as portable.

If you have GT5 Prologue it's worth every penny... I was playing it last night at my cuz's place and it's the perfect racing experience on any console.. Suzuka in a Aston DB9 online is the bomb... in the Pro PP600 event... you can't get any better experience than the H pattern and the clutch... it's what makes it the most realistic sim.. :D

I too have had the g25 since it came out, I only paid $250.00 shipped (dont rememeber where though)

I played it with the pc game GTR2 (awesome sim) and also with GTHD and GT5P. Then it broke, I called logitech and they asked for the serial number and shipped me a complete new one within days. They said the actual motors cannot be repaired for some reason. Anyway, I was very impressed with the customer service and this second unit has held up just fine.

The Force Feed back is the best I have experienced with out spending over a grand on full blown sim gear. I love the clutch pedal and the h shifter.... only draw back is if you have big feet (I wear a twelve) the stock pedal housing has the pedals a bit close together, but I do know it is easy to take apart and remount in your own cockpit with better spacing....

Yeah. It is a pretty fun game. I need to try the wheel with it though :)
Same here. My old school logitech wheel is beyond it's life support, so no Vista drivers will be released... meaning I guess I'm in the market for a new wheel. Seems kind of silly given that the one I have still works perfectly. :(

I built my cockpit using the seat from my AE86, going to use the center console with cupholder and wire in the e-brake as well. It will be so FTW it's not even funny.

Because it will only be wired into one of the momentary buttons on the G25, I will be using the stock switch on the e-brake handle that is used to turn the light on the dash in the car on. I will have it adjusted to grab probably 1/2 to 2/3 of the way up the pull and will use a strong spring on it to simulate the resistance of a real e-brake.
