Wow, bump from the dead..lol

I am re-doing my setup this year. Sumped tank, big external weldon pump and FIC 1650s with possibly a custom fuel rail.
I ran the two walbros, -8 feed -6 return and 880cc injectors for a season and a half on E85. Nearly maxxed out the injectors at 22psi with my BWS366. I made close to 600whp with this setup.

How much are you shooting for now? What clutch to hold this power? I like that you want to prove the 1J naysayers wrong about big numbers...

Haha, thanks man. I dont have a specific power goal in mind, whatever it makes at 30+ psi :)

It currently has a ACT XT with a sprung 6-puck disc in it, over next winter I would like to go with an OS Giken twin or something along those lines..maybe a v160 if I stumble across one for a decent price..

FYI- my tuner suggested to stay away from the ~1600cc injectors. He says they don't tune well, and advised 1350's unless I wanted to make more than 1k on E-85. If you want more, then he suggested the 2000's. (all of these from FIC)

Do yourself a favor and get Injector Dynamics 1000cc high impedence injectors. Very easy to tune, will support the power you are looking for and there's plenty headroom if/when you do upgrade for more power. Also very e85 friendly if you choose to burn the corn. E85>race gas imho.

If you get the ID1000, they tune extremely well.

The ID2000 give the MKIV guys stock idle quality. Best on the market.
I rest my case. Just FYI, when I ran the ID1000 in the past, all I has controlling fuel at the moment was an AFC-II and my AFR were solid all throughout the powerband. Idled exactly at 750rpms and purred like a kitten. If i were to build another fuel system for the street, I would buy the ID1000s again without hesitation. Nothing else is as user friendly IMHO.
