We I finally made some decent passes at the track last night. I have just started to use drag radials which made me have to change my launching style. Here is some back ground I am running my 1jz at 18 psi on 94 pump gas, DBB T61 turbo, making about 420 whp.

My first run was bad, and I totally bogged off the line. I was racing a 500+ hp 350Z with the Jim wolf twin turbo kit. I just beat him with a 13.94 at 107 (2.4 60') on his 14.17 at 104. I had a few more runs and every time I was .2-.3 tenths quicker. So I line up against a BPU Skyline GTR and he smokes me off the line ( I ran a 2.1 60') and I reel him in at the top of the track..... 13.13 at 107 (2.1 60') mph vs his 13.19 at 105 I beat him by like half a fender. SO the next run i line up against the Skyline again, and I rip off a 1.9 60' !!!! 12.57 at 107 mph he does a 12.97 at 107 mph. This run was almost half a second quicker than my best run ever. I am so happy i can finally run the times that my car is capable of. :burnout:

congratulations although i think that mph and time seem a little low for your power level. i'm on 15psi from a 70mm turbo 7m of course :) lol and i was able to trap 110, and i feel like im only making about 350whp. maybe theres a big difference in sea level though.

Nice times.. But what's up with the low MPH. With 420rwhp you should be seeing 115+. Were you letting out before the finish line? Maybe the MPH calculator at the track was off. 12.57 at 107mph is kind of weird for a supra.

I agree, something doesn't sound right. Those times looks like a domestic car. You ran a 13.1 @105 and then a 12.57 @107, with just getting your 60' down .2 that would make your time faster but something your mph should be much higher. What rear end do you have and what gear were you running through the traps at? Great times though.

What was your 1/8th mile times and mph? That will help figure out the runs, or if you can post the slips.

nice times! going to the track is always fun, especially when you accomplish your goals.

+1 for the mph stuff though, usually when I run in the 12 second range my mph is around 118 or so

True story. I also trapped at 118 plus when I was at 430 RWHP and car was close to full weight with cage.

He might be making 420 on the dyno but the track, not happening. The car should trap a LEAST a 117MPH plus. The time posted is however a good time for the trap speed.

Congrats on the times again and put some slicks on with a 2-step and it will go faster (as mentioned many times before) ;)

Wait a 500+ hp 350Z ran a 14.17? Don't they run around that stock?

There is a stock Touring model running a 13.5 on dragtimes.com

LOL I did a 14.1 @ 100MPH in my stock G35 sedan first time out. Some one spent a lot of money and forgot the driver mod.

By the end of the night the 350Z was running low 13' high 12's, he was having massive tire smoking issues.

I went to the track again last week, and I added a 50% mix of 103 race gas and my MPH went up to 111, and running 12.8's, so my ECU was definatly pulling some timing before.....Time for a standalone with a two step.
I really dont know what poawer the car is making, as it has been a while scince I have dynoed. But it was doing 420 at 19psi, and I was runing 19 psi at the track.

About time. ;)

The trap speed never lies so you are losing power somehwere.

See you at the track.
