the states instead.
It's a Megan Racing N1. 3" in and 4" out.

Thank you :)
I have some updates that I need to post asap....

The daily which actually belongs to my dad is an 850 -95 with the weak 2l 10v engine :/
But it runs and gets me from A to B where A is my house and B is my school or garage...I prefer the later ;P

Great work you're doing! :)

Where did you buy you muffler and the headlight-kit?

Thank you :)
Now that you have written in my thread, I want to ask you. What do you think about my right rear arch? If you were me would you replace it (again) in the same way that you have done with yours?

I bought those thru ebay. I just have to eat and then I can post links to them.

As you've already come quite far it's hard to say. If I was to choose in the beginning I'd definitly go with the complete wheel arches. There is a bit of modification needed though, you can basically see mostly of it in the picture where I hold up the wheel arch in front of the old one. They were only like 240SEK a piece anyway.. so it's not a lot of money.

After a summerbreak from acctually working with the supra I'm now at it again :)

I like testing new ways to remove rust and this time I wanted to try electrolyt.
It works better than I thought and it has several advantages over grinding and sandblasting.
The biggest one is the time put in.

These are only some test runs.
The steps are: bath, wash and paint.
I don't have it set up so that I can paint after.

After. The diffrence is most visible on the little arm where only half of it got to take a bath

Continued with electrolyt bathing today.
I let a brake caliper with holder sit in the bath for about 12h and you can see the
result in the pictures.

Nice to see some progress.
I really don't know about that electrolyth-stuff. It doesn't really seem to get the job done.

I need to stay out of builds like this or I swear I will start thinking about stripping the entire car. Looks gorgeous so far and can't wait to see the completed product!

As I (think I) said, this was only a test run so I would need to let it bath for a couple of more hours.
This method is not supposed to remove paint, but the yellow paint on the brake caliper was put on by a previous owner and not done well so there were rust underneath.

When there is alot of rust and so on, the fluid needs to be changed after a while and gunk needs to be removed from the part as it let's go.

I did nothing with the brake caliper before putting it in except remove all removable parts. The sacrificial plate was already covered with rust.
So I had some odds against me.

here is an example, before and after:

efter.jpg

This part took a bath for about 24h. But the work time put in is about 30min.

Another plus for this method is that you return iron oxide to your part during the process.

Electrolyt bathing looks really interesting!! Maybe I'll give it a go on a few parts.

Have you got your light kit yet? Wondering about the quality since it's so cheap, so thought I'd let you see how they are before I buy. :)

Looking good, stripping the underside is a lot of work.
It's nice to have the piece of mind that there won't be rust coming through from underneath your fresh project.
