differential question

ok guys, first post here. pretty familiar with the general forum rules, so rest assured i have searched... however im sure i could have searched many more hours to acheive the answer im seeking... buit i thought someone would already know the answer and maybe lighten up my day..

so heres the deal

i have an 86.5 n/a.. and i just picked up a diff from this local kid for 100. it is a 4.30 LSD differential... is this a rare diff? as i thought the turbos came with 3.91 or 3.70 gears....

would the fact that i have a 4.30 diff mean that i got oh so f'n lucky, to have gotten a lsd out of another n/a?

is this common or rare?

oh yea... my stock diff was non LSD...

i just wanted a LSD to go with my new STOCK engine i am rebuilding

I don't think they're rare i know they came on the sport edition supras.

All N/A's were 4.30:1.

In Canada LSD was standard.
In USA, LSD was optional and was also included in the Sport Package.

AU was a Sports Pack option as well.

My 86.5 has the 4:30 diff, It certinly makes 5th gear a kick in the pants, don't even need to down shift when you see a honda try to roll up on you. :evil2:
