There are also a few other changes made, but I'm not entirely sure when they happened:

When was the lighted driver's side keyhole added?

Let me know if there are any other changes that I've missed. Hopefully this can get moved to the FAQ forum as well.

Re: Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

True, but that's not really good enough, lol.

I know it was there, almost all the 88T's I've seen have ABS as well, including mine, but I know for a fact it was an option.

What I need is someone with a 91 who doesn't have ABS to post. , or I need info backing up that it was standard from a magazine or Toyota.

Doesn't really matter that much, but I don't want to change it unless I'm sure. For a long time I was told it was made standard in 89, which I know is not true.

Re: Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

I think that ABS was offered as an option beginning in 88. I can't remember if it was adopted as standard at 90 or 91. My 90 has ABS on it.

I'm almost 100% sure I've seen an 86.5 with ABS, and I know for sure there was 87 cars with ABS.

Re: Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

Not that this is rock solid evidence, but this web site also believes in the idea that ABS became standard on turbo models in 91. Maybe you can e-mail them and ask if they know for sure.

Re: Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

Ok Jeff, think I got something this time. I'm really board and needed something to occupy the hours. So I decided to enlist the almighty power of Google. Here is what I found:

http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Sp...IP&tab=2&sub=0

If you scroll most of the way down the page under safety, it lists ABS as standard on the 1991 turbo. But on the 1990 turbo the ABS is listed as optional, as seen here.

http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Sp...IP&tab=2&sub=0

MSN auto is a reliable site as they get there info directly from the manufacture. So how does that work for you.
