I need to know if the 7m-gte crank is milled slightly different so the Timing belt pulley can fit and also the dampener. I have a crank here and its milled at the end but the new one on my new engine is not and they really won't fit any ? thing I should be aware of?

The Crank has a small diameter at the beginning in the front and this crank doesn't..

I come from a land down under
The snout is the same diameter from nose to the front Main journal register.
(from the front to where the Timing pully sits)

If yours has a step the only thing I can think of is it's been damaged and repaired and the Balancer sleeved to fit.

Usually I am good at deciphering the meaning of these type posts. I am at a loss on this one however.

Alright. The Front of the Crank where the bolt goes in and you tighten it to 195 Ft-lbs. I need to know if that part is milled slightly from the factory to fit the 2 pulleys that go on it. If you look at it, it is where the wood druff keys are, the beginning on that on my crank is not milled on my new engine Ill get you pics!

After the part where it is milled it is the same, look at the pic's though. My other crank on the engine does not have this. I can't even get the pulleys on without force.:icon_evil:icon_evil:icon_evil

Looks like it's had a balancer come undone at some stage in it's life and been repaired as per my earlier post.

"Milled" is incorrect it's either "Turned" "Ground" or "Linished" ;)

I guess I don't understand, the pulley and sprocket don't go on my new crank. i cleaned them but they really don't want to fit. I am now driving to 7mgtesuprapat 2 1/2 hours away from me to buy a sprocket from him, b/c i damaged mine :[ trying to get it off. good thing I did get it off though.:biglaugh:

Balancer won't go on because it has a smaller hole to match the crank.

Timing pully might be deformed from trying to remove it.

Both the Balancer and the Pully are meant to be a firm slip fit.
(dropped in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes they should slide on easily by hand)

I usually take some fine emory cloth and clean the surface of the crank to remove any deposits that have collected over time. A good wipe on the inside of the pulleys as well. They usually slide roght into place. As IJ has stated a pot of boiling water for the really stubborn ones wont hurt.
