Yes, I have the AEM Kit. Last year they were running a sale on them and I couldn't pass it up. Installation details are certain. There is hardly any water/meth tuning info out there so I plan on tracking and posting findings in that regard as well.

Just as a note, I didn't do brakes for over a dozen years with this car... then with the ADDED HP of ongoing power adders, I finally made the investment in Andy's kit (ARZ Wilwood's) and WOW! The SINGLE MOST IMPRESSIVE upgrade I made in 16 years! SUCH a different car with good brakes! I highly recommend...

Couldn't agree more! The truth of the matter is that it's hard to let go of $1k plus at once. Which sadly, is why it hasn't been done yet.
The brake kit is something I won't be skimping on because I plan to track the car a couple times a year. If only some long lost Warbucks relative would leave me a cool mil! whitemike;1628045 said:

It is hard to lay down a 1300 on brakes but it is easier than fixing body work. I have bought a set of Wilwood for my personal MKIII, not the ones that were sold since idiots where I live care about going fast on 200HP brakes.

Trust me. FOUR piston Wilwood kit will nearly LIFT your ass off the ground! Any more, and you will need static engine mounts OR rip the stock one's apart... potentially. (I can lock-em up all day long at triple digit speeds...)
As a note, after I went through my FIRST set of "street" Wilwood pads, I went to the BP compound after discussion with Andy (ARZ) and they are SUPERB! A bit MORE aggressive than the original pads, with better initial bite and GREAT fade resistance under HEAVY, HEAVY braking duty.

Four pistons? LOL! Try a six and four combination all the way around. I had to buy the DriftMotion engine mounts cased in metal and they have lasted.
It is nice to know I can have my power upgrades and don't worry about stopping. New bushings, tie rods, ball joints and coilovers. Full works here.

Hey Kenny, good work so far, this has been fun to follow. I do have a question about the info you received on the 4 piston vs. 6 piston fronts, what was their reasoning? I'm asking because I'm about to buy the AZP. big 6 piston-14.2" fronts and the 4 piston 12.9" rears. They are a hefty chunk of the budget--4K+.
Also, looks like we're finally getting very close to getting my car up and running. Ordered an OS Giken tripple disc clutch today-coming from Japan, after that install the start up and break in should follow. I'll start posting again in my thread when I have something to show. I will say that after talking to JE today he's shooting for 500+ after the base tune, let me get used to that-haha- then take it on up. We'll see.

As far as brakes go, I spoke at length with two individuals. One was an Autocross Enthusiast and the other has made a career out of racing and selling aftermarket brake kits.
They both echo'd this same information: Any upper name brand four piston kit will out perform the six piston kits on several levels. Four piston kits provide more evenly distributed force which yields a more even pad wear and reduces hot spots on the rotor which will extend rotor life. Four pistons also have a more clamping force. Four Piston kits are cheaper! They gave other info as well; but, those are the main points.

I've still got a lingering loss of power. It's either fuel or spark. Maybe both! I was able to get a bit more torque by adjusting the intake cam. I ran in to issues which made me pressed for time so I never got to the exhaust cam. Next time!That's CRAZY power!!!! I'm still jealous of you guys being able to make it to SILV. Maybe I'll be able to make that trip next time.
