I come from a land down under
It will fit but they're damn heavy so don't make a lot of sense since the LSx's were released and you can have 440Ci in a 190 Kg package.
(I'd considered a 500Ci BBC at one point)

i will be following IJ's build thread. :] though if youre on a budget finding a used camaro/firebird might be your best bet. my dad has been talking about putting in a SBC from one of the dirt track race trucks a friend of ours is selling.

For me it only being 4.0L was a handicap if I'm going to all that affort I want more than an extra 1000cc ;)

plus the availability of parts and price of parts of the Lsx series engines is a lot better.

BMoss: <nodding> and it all exists and is dirt cheap by comparison!!

Easylift proves my point :)

Beautiful car great install and the $ have been spent in the right place and it makes around the same RWHP as my L98 stock before the Turbo goes on! :D

About 400km's from a 65 litre tank when driving sedately on the highway.

About 265 km's when creating some mayhem.

I spend over $10,000 per week in fuel in my trucks so the cost of fuel in the car is irrelevant. Its more about putting a smile on my face.

Here are some of my 8 other gas guzzlers.

It takes 1100 litres to fill up, and we fill them every 2nd day.

Here is one of my b doubles just loaded with steel coils at Newcastle. Total weight is 64.5 tonnes.

It only has 385 hp at the rear wheels. It has been tuned as a torque monster.
It has 800nm of torque at the rear wheels. (although this measurement on the dyno was so high it seems to me it must be an error!)

It seems outright power figures give bragging rights, but torque is all about the feel of power and acceleration.

I cannot begin to describe how well this car accelerates from just off idle. In fact it gets up to speed so quickly and smoothly that it doesnt seem to be going as fast as it is.

I have super sticky Pirelli Dragon tyres all round, and when cruising at 40km/h when you put your foot to the floor it lights up the tyres. Anyone elses car do that on sticky rubber????????????
