i just dont understand why they don't go rb26. I guess bodykits and rims are more priority in the 240 world

Wow you guys haven't raced a nice 240! There are a ton of them here. I got beat last night by a buddy of mine's 97 S14 with a SR20 with a T61 turbo he was at 19psi and I was at 13 but he runs 11.8's all day at the 1/4 mile track with street tires. There are a lot of fast 240's around here. And to find a turbo'd KA is very rare because they don't hold up at all unless you put some forged pistons and a thick head gasket to lower the compression.

All you guys think that your supra can't be beat LOL!!!!!

Interesting. Comming from a 677whp 2JZ in my MKIII, my stock Silvia with an SR20DET doesn't feel underpowered at all. Its no 2JZ tho..

I have a FMIC, EBC, Ecutout, and my very own custom tune. I might know more about throwing a car together than the average 240 kid tho. Because I'm definately not one of them.

Cause your's is actually tuned

Not saying that there aren't fast one, just saying on average they're slow.

LOL no argument here. On average. The SR's I see here are swapped.. and the ECU's are throwing all sorts of critical codes. That's why I got a Silvia instead of a swapped 240. I wanted Nissan's OEM wiring, not some kid's "get-r-done" wiring.

I havn't found an SR yet that will stay with my 7MGE.......
In fact, one guy who was part of the local drift group, and thought he had a fast car, sold his after I blew him away.
A 7MGTE should kill them every time.

SR20 feels fast as hell to someone that used to own a Honda

Hey now I used to own a crx with full weight reduction kit and damn well tuned single cam vtec and I ate sr20's for breakfest....... Didn't feel fast but it almost was:p doesn't even throw rocks at my 7m though ;)

Some kid around here has a 240 with what he says is a "skyline motor" swapped in. Its pretty slow, lost to my cousin's stock cobalt SS turbo with his brother who never drove it before driving, and a almost stock 04 wrx non-sti.

Now here is an example of speaking from experience! If a sr20 doesn't feel underpowered after driving a 677 rwhp 2j they must be a pretty good little motor once tuned. I'd like one personally in a little nissan (datsun) 1600 , Did you U.S guys get them?

i assume you havn't heard about weight distribution... aluminum block 4 cyl. vs iron block 6 cyl.... big difference, bud.

and to all those that said the sr20 is weak... i wouldn't exactly say that... definitely lots of potential.
