That would be tons of work. I think you should buy a little Toyota pickup and give it an independent rear suspension. You could stick with the badass ratrod kinds of ideas. I've seen if before with minitrucks.

Yea I know it would be tons of work, mainly welding and fab, a cage and driveshaft.. all doable. and the mounts are there for a 7m obviously.

I guess ratrod isnt the right word, Im talking open wheel, caged. 7m with supra suspension. Giant gocart. wouldnt be street legal obviously. this isnt uncommon in hillclimbs, etc

I'm planning on using an A70 front subframe under my 1950 chevy sedan deluxe chassis when I get around to starting THAT project. It will make it easier to bolt in the 1UZFE/automatic that I plan to run in it. Well. Easier than doing a fatman aftermarket subframe, custom rack conversion, and then doing custom motor mounts too.

Buddy of ours is doing something similar to a 40's era Chevy sedan... You might also contact Wes with Dahn Automotive in Chandler, AZ. ;)

I come from a land down under
Biggest "issues" I can see using a70 parts is a: weight and b: Shock towers, might work out if you can figure out some sort of rocker linkage to run some shocks horizontal, the weight thing will get exe real quick though..

This could pan out to be a awesome project! Do a long narrow frame, this style:

Recently I have really wanted to do a rat rod with a 7M drivetrain, just some kind of knarly old school low 30's-40's esk race car thing.

My Supra was called a "rat rod" by some retards when I was leaving Waffle House some months ago. There was lots of neck snapping when I started it up, then a really loud "WOAH, A RAT ROD!" in heavy hillbilly English.

I was thinking of welding shock mounts to the subframe and using street rod style shocks like this.
