With less than three weeks left before SILV2010 it is time to finish up those projects, apply a fresh coat of wax, and finalize your travel plans to join us for this year’s festivities. We have a full weekend of activities planned and you won’t want to miss a second.

Limited Edition 2010 Event T-shirt - $15
Help support this annual Supra tradition by purchasing a limited edition SILV2010 event t-shirt for just $15. Other shirts are going for $20 each so get your shirts before we come to our senses and raise our prices. T-shirts will be available at the Dyno Challenge this year and are limited to sizes and quantities on hand. You can see this year’s design at http://Vegas.Supras.Org/2010/tshirt.asp

Friday October 15

Scenic Drive
Cost: $5 (payable directly to Red Rock Canyon)
One of the best scenic drives in the area are the spectacular rock formations at the Red Rock Canyon scenic loop. The 13-mile loop winds in and out of the mountains providing excellent photo opportunities for our favorite Toyota. More info can be found at http://Vegas.Supras.Org/2010/drive.asp

Schedule:
1:00 pm – Meet at Luxor hotel parking lot (lower level / back rows)
1:45 pm – Depart the hotel for Red Rock Canyon
2:30 pm – Regroup at the Red Rock Canyon Visitors Center (lower parking lot)
2:45 pm – Depart for Scenic Loop
schedule subject to change

Saturday October 16

Dyno Challenge
Cost: $60
Due to a technical issue we are moving our Dyno Challenge over to the rollers at WickedHP – located in the LVMS R&D complex. We will kick off the day with the first car on the rollers at 11am – to give us all an extra hour to sleep off Friday night’s festivities. This year will be open to any make / model that would like to make a pull and attempt to knock the almighty Supra off the top spot. More info can be found at http://Vegas.Supras.Org/2010/dyno.asp

Schedule:
10:30 am – Signups open
11:00 am – First car on the rollers
1:00 pm – Lunch
???? pm – Awards Presentation
schedule subject to change

Poker Tournament
Cost: $55 (payable directly to the Luxor Poker Room)
Take a break away from the cars for a little friendly competition at the tables. The game is Texas Hold’em and it has been a lot of fun in past years. Why play with strangers when you can sit down across the table from others with the same love for the Toyota Supra that you enjoy. More info can be found at http://Vegas.Supras.Org/2010/poker.asp

Schedule:
7:45 pm – Check In and Registration
7:55 pm – Seating
8:00 pm – First Cards Dealt
schedule subject to change

Sunday October 17

Show-and-Shine
Cost: $30 per car and driver / $20 for Spectators ($17 with a flier coupon – available at the dyno challenge)
Our Show-and-Shine is unique as it draws more Supras than any other event on the planet! We welcome not only magazine quality show cars but also celebrate highly tuned race cars, daily drivers, and projects. This is THE place to see and be seen if you are even remotely into these incredible machines. This year’s Show-and-Shine will be held in conjunction with the drags at LVMS. More info can be found at http://Vegas.Supras.Org/2010/show.asp

Schedule:
10:00 am – Gates Open
12:30 pm – Show-and-Shine begins
1:30 pm – Parking Closes
3:30 pm – Voting Ballots Due
4:30 pm – Awards Presentation
schedule subject to change

Drag Showdown
Cost: $30 per car and driver / $20 for Spectators ($17 with a flier coupon – available at the dyno challenge)
New for 2010 we are turning the reigns for our drag racing over to the capable staff at the Import Face Off (IFO). They coordinate more than 20 events annually across the country and the Supras will fit perfectly into several of their regular race classes – and we should EASILY DOMINATE these classes (we will be highly disappointed if the Supras don’t finish 1… 2… 3… in all allowed classes). Additionally, we are welcome to create our own class as long as we can get at least four participants who can agree on a set of rules. More info can be found at http://Vegas.Supras.Org/2010/drags.asp

Schedule:
10:00 am – Gates and Tech Open
12:00 pm – Heads-Up Qualifying Round 1
1:00 pm – Heads-Up Qualifying Round 2
2:00 pm – Heads-Up Qualifying Round 3
3:30 pm – Eliminations Round 1
4:30 pm – Eliminations Round 2
5:30 pm – Eliminations Round 3
schedule subject to change

[/COLOR]We are working on expanding the planning team and are looking for activity coordinators (as easy as we make this look… it really takes a lot of people to make it work). I have a lot of things to confirm but I’ll be posting names as soon as they are locked in.

Steve Michael will head up our Poker Tournament again this year.

We’ve also heard from a number of shops and individuals that are willing to support our event this year. Names etc will be posted as they are confirmed.

We are going to start with a “back to the basics” approach and see how far along we can get back to the SILV08 plan that worked so incredibly.

In the mean time… the online RSVP page is now open. Please visit http://vegas.supras.org/v10/rsvp.asp to get on the list and show your support for this Supra Tradition.

Thanks again for your excitement and understanding as we put together the details for this incredible event.

Damn... I have always wanted to attend SILV, ever since my first MKIII back in the mid 90's. My sister even lives in Vegas now. But I won;t be able to make this event, as I've already allocated all my vacation time for the year. Ironically, I'll be in Vegas just a few weeks before this event for my sister's wedding. Maybe I'll see if she can just push the wedding date back so I can make this trip a two-fer. LOL

Maybe next year... *sigh*

I wish I knew of this before going to M Fest. What will the wife's answer be if I try to go to this? I'm planning for it anyhow.

Thanks for the enthusiasm guys. This really helps energize us.

We are still working on the schedule - and we are waiting on a new contract. Trust me... I want to announce the dates as badly as you want them. Just take a look at the calendar and point to the middle of October - that's all I can say right now.
