My ems 8860 has a glitch where the 2 step stays engaged wheteher the switch is on or off and the pedal is depressed or not. The car was fine the weekend before and this morning omw to work I decided to get a quick pull and it was just would rev up to the 2 step setting and start building boost...
Im not sure if its disengaging at all.. But if it was a thrust washer it would be a continuous problem and not temperature reliant.. This problem only happens after 30 mins or so of driving... Cold shifts are butter smooth and perfect.. Currently running Redline Mt90 FIY
On cold start the car shifts butter smooth thru out the whole power band.. After about 20 minutes of driving, If i come to a stop, It will Not got into first smoothly.. Id have to Bounce it around a few other gears first and then it will go into first.. Sometimes ill try to put it in first and...
The time has come for me to finish my setup. and im bouncing between these 2 Engine management systems. Does anyone have any feed back on both ? what are advantages and disadvantages ? Thanks in advance
My tuner is Andre.. His particular system is EMS.. But I hear goods n bads that ems technology is a little outdated... You guys make a good point tho..

Im really trying to complete this car by summer... and i have everything i need to do it EXCEPT an ecu.. I do have n emanage blue But im debating if i should tune with it or not.. I would like to do this once and be done with it.. So Im debating between EMS 6860, Mega-squirt, Emanage blue, AFC...
Problem solved.. And a leak it was !!! The Leak was on the little hose that ran behind the motor.. it had a hole the size of my fingernail in it. Now Pulling 16-18IN of vacuum :D !
Im going to check for leaks asap then... I know something is wrong because the cams were in almost a year and it has always idled at -15in.. so i assume something must be leaking now...

Would an exhaust leak...
When i first put my 1j together it idled at -20in vacuum.. It idled the same after i singled it.. Then i put some BC 264's in there and it idled with a hunt at -15in.. I had the car parked about 2weeks, and the battery was low so i changed the battery and when i started the car up it now idles...
I have this same issue.. Speedo works.. im pretty sure it gets thrown off in the later MPH range but it throws the code even at a 30mph cruis regardless...
Everytime i shift the drive shaft gives me a bouncing Feel or a rocking type of feel... But i have A Full One Piece Driveshaft... So i assum one of the Diff bearings are no good.. But which would that be ?
supra shoes are $137 for the full set from Toyota.. I ordered mine for $35 and they are working beautifully...Parking brake Pads dont have much of a job to do so im pretty sure mine will work just fine for a long Time ! ( not saying that they are low quality )
