I also have a 2j and a 1j map. You would just need to make minor changes to get it running and tune from there on.

it can't be the O2 because the O2 sensor doesn't even function past 70% throttle anyways. Are you sure you have no codes like code 52 maybe? Code 52 can cause some of your symptoms as well as 51 if your TPS is off.

I really wish I could run this on my car. I think with how the piping is it'll be too tall and hit the radiator though

All of the afc's are very basic. With 20 psi like hvyman said, I would recomend something that has more tuning ability like an FIC or even a standalone. This way you can run reliably at your power goal.

Because before you reach 20 psi the afm is reading an amount of airflow in which the ecu is programmed to cut fuel. Have you don't the lex/550 mod?

I wouldn't use it since it has been torqued down it has already been compressed which puts you at higher risk of being prone to failure. What is it like 80$ gets a new one? It's an 80$ worth it.
