    Should I pull the trigger?

That's what I'm thinking. Once I sell what I've got right now, I'll have enough for a decent Turbo/5MT/Targa. I've got options if I look out of state, so I think I'l just keep looking. :)

    Should I pull the trigger?

Okay... hopefully nobody minds the bump. I've unfortunately haven't gotten back on this, but have some more questions. I went up a couple of days ago and looked at the MK3 in question, and was more or less quite disappointed. The body is in good shape but that's about all there is. Judging...

    Should I pull the trigger?

Yep, 5-speed. I was also under the impression that the AFMs on these cars were pretty robust; I'm assuming it's a similar design to my old Alltrac and I've never heard of those failing. I don't really have the patience to track down strange surging issues so thanks for the heads up. I did...

    Should I pull the trigger?

Well, I haven't been on this forum for years; super lurker status here. However, I have some questions as I may be in the position to (finally) get my hands on an MA71 pretty soon. I'm currently driving a '99 BMW E38 7-series, but I've got plenty of Toyota experience under my belt. Cut my...

Kinda new, about to own a MKIII

Heh... if you think a MKIII's expensive to build, try a GT-Four. They're great cars, but I've thrown a metric ton of money into it and it still wasn't running the way I wanted it. However, I'll prolly own one again... I've just wanted a MKIII since I was a kid. :icon_bigg The shell isn't in the...

Kinda new, about to own a MKIII

Hey, all. I've lurked the site for a while, and have sold my '88 Celica GT-Four to a friend a couple months ago, and am strongly considering picking up a MKIII to do some work on. I've been talking with a local enthusiast who has two for sale, and wanted to gather a few opinions. Both are...

    The (old) Official Gun Thread.

Jeez. Those range rates are exorbitant. There's a 'free' one a little ways outside of town, but that one tends to attract people who really shouldn't be handling firearms. The other one is about the same distance away and is much better-controlled... at $10 for the first person, $9 for each...

    Newb Checking In!

Really clean car... I love how they look in Super White. Looks like you've taken care of it just fine. :icon_bigg Sorry about your '87, though.

    The (old) Official Gun Thread.

Speaking of the HK MK23... anyone ever get a chance to shoot one of those things? I was impressed. Double-stack .45ACP, a little large on the hands but honestly I can deal with that just fine. A bit too large for CC work unfortunately unless you like shoulder rigs and coats all year round. But...

    WTF is Bitron 4 Real?

I agree. It would be nice to do some current lab tests at a known lab with this stuff to see how it pans out. If the test results are good, I'd definately consider using it. I do know chemical engineering has come a long long way in other fields, but I think that independent testing is critical...

One thing the Supra is not good at....wardriving...

My ThinkPad T21 has a keyboard light. It's a little old school, but it still works just fine.

One thing the Supra is not good at....wardriving...

Well, hm. As far as my Celica goes, I usually leave the laptop in the passenger's seat. No wardriving for me, since I have broadband at home and am usually at home most of the time anyway... I use my laptop for gaming and listening to music when on the road. And, I'm pretty sure my wifi is...

Not really a complete newb, but saying hello...

Thanks... hehe. As far as the research goes, a lot of it is CYA and RTFM, to be honest about it... I've dumped more than my fair share of money into my ST165, so I'm just going to make sure to do it right this time. This site and MKIIITech have loads of valuable info at the hit of the search...

Not really a complete newb, but saying hello...

Hey, all. I've been a lurker on here for the most part, but it's prolly a good time to make an introduction. Erm, I live in Colorado, and have wanted a MK3 since I was a little kid. As far as my current cars, I have my daily driver 1988 Honda Accord LX(98HP carb'd SOHC 2.0... wow it's fast...)...

    Colorado

Nice... heh. Doesn't seem to be many MK3 enthusiasts in the Springs, wierdly enough, even though I see 'em around from time to time. I did run into one guy last week who was in the midst of building what he hopes to be a 500whp setup on a 7M... I forget what exact turbo he was going to use, but...

Woah. Any of you guys in the Springs area?

    Colorado

Hm.... I may be interested in a meet as well. I may be keeping my GT-Four(does it count that I've got an MA70 turbo sitting in it?), but if I ever get a few extra bucks and some space, I want a MK3 to play with, too. :evil2:

Hmm... mind if I tagged along? Don't have a MK3 yet, but I'm itching to get my hands on one sometime... I'd have to bring my CA5 Accord, which even an NA would blow the doors off of, but I'll be around except for the first week of April; vacation time.

'Eyas. Thought I'd chime in here, even though I'm not a MK3 owner(at least yet...). I've been a huge fan of the MA70/MA71 since I was a little kid, and it's always been one of my goals to get one. At the moment, I'm kinda considering selling my project car for one, but time will tell... heh. As...
