    Gas tank overhaul *Pics*

I got the $600 quote from the online EPC. I called Toyota today for a price, but they wanted the VIN number, so hopefully I'll get a quote tomorrow, and if they are surprisingly affordable, I'll get one in a heartbeat. BTW, I agree the gas tank putty works well. Depending on what Toyo tells...

    Gas tank overhaul *Pics*

Nice job. Mine leaks from the seams when I jack up the car. I used Permatex fuel tank repair which works great, but I'm concnerned there could be a leak elsewhere in the tank that I can't see (or will become one soon). Is there an aftermarket fuel tank available? Or if I drop the tank, could...

    Leftynridge complete restoration build thread

Words can't express how I feel about your work! Wish I could do it. (Or at least wish I had faith in a shop that would do it)! My '89 (NYC) has lots of rust underneath, but it looks like its mostly surface rust which is extremely comforting as I was debating whether to have a shop...

    Neutral Safety Switch

Does that mean the autos have a backup light switch AND a NSS switch? I located the NSS switch on the passenger side of the tranny which goes to two large round connectors to the harness in the manifold area.

    Neutral Safety Switch

Hi folks! I have an 87 Auto Turbo. Reverse lights haven't worked for years, and I finally have decided to see what's causing the problem. No tranny swap was done, and from searching this forum, a visual inspection shows all connectors are connected. Bulbs are good, and the 7.5 gauge fuse...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

5/28/11 marked my 15th yr. of owning my 87 T. I'm very proud of that - she's an amazing car, and through her, I've met peeps who have gone on to become best friends from all over the continent. Friends from SOGI, SONIC, Supraforums, & Supramania. The car and the owners are awesome. Tons of fond...

Code 51. Car won't start at all

Is the car cranking? I've been away for too long from the Supra scene, and I"m not expert, but you may try fiddling with the CPS wires, and then give it a shot. Also other things that come to mind is the fusible link in the fuse box in the engine. There's also a 7.5 A fuse labelled...

    R-154 Leaks

Thank you everyone for your help. Got the seal in today - never knew about the "seal puller" tool - very cool. I didn't get the dust deflector (aka "black cup" off), bec. the seal puller was sufficient enough. Note - this was my first time working in this area of the car, and after reading...

    R-154 Leaks

I removed the yolk, and can see the seal, but cannot remove it. TSRM says to pry it out with a screwdriver, but in my picture, there is this gear which is making it very difficult to get to the seal. Can the gear be removed from this position to get to the seal? Tks. for any help![/IMG]

    R-154 Leaks

From reading this post, I too have similar symptoms. It looks like she's leaking from where the shaft meets the tranny. I'm posting a pic from the TSRM, and am wondering if what I have pointed to is a seal which comes out with the shaft. I'm hoping it is. Can someone please verify, or does...

Anyone familar with HKS VPC setup

Wassup Kentucky Dave!! Do u think the OP timing is set correctly? I ask this bec. he's very rich, and if I remember correctly, if you pull too much fuel out (like I did on my SAFC) to try to get a better a/f, then the computer will retard the timing. For starters, don't u think he should...
