Of the pistons that only lost one lock, were they all the same side? Were the locks sitting in the oil pan undamaged or were they chewed up? Can you post some pics of the locks that popped out?
I am running the same pistons, but with eagle rods and a holset hx35 at about 15psi. I put the...
Yea I am not sure on the exact size but it looks to be the same one as in your photo. Off a dodge cummins diesel. So far I love this turbo. Huge difference in response from the old T04B with a t4 housing i had. The holset seems to go from no boost to 15psi like instantly, whereas my old one...
Yea its an odd ball size, I have the same turbo, and I got real creative with a solution. I ground down the lip of the v-band flange until it was just the right size to fit inside a normal 3" v-band weld fitting. Like this:
I then pressed the fitting it onto the turbo and welded the seam.
I agree that your high side pressure is too high. One thing you might look into is upgrading to a parallel flow condenser. The system was designed for R12 and I wouldn't blame it for not working at 100% with R134A. Especially in AZ! With a more efficient condenser you might get those high...
There are quite a few around here with holsets. I just got my hx35 installed and its looking promising. I have only had it to 10psi so far but I am pleased with the performance. Spool time is pretty good but not like the BB turbos, etc. I'm seeing 10 psi right around 3500 RPM
I thought those vettes had the trans and diff mounted at the rear, which would make it impossible to remove the driveshaft to keep the trans from turning...
You used to be able to offer the item to the next highest bidder. It was called "second chance offer" or something. I did that once when I sold my F-Con and the guy was really happy.
I had that symptom and then it completely went away when I switched to the coil on plug setup:

I just removed the wheels, laid them flat on the ground and spread it on with a brush. I'm not sure if it will hurt the tires but I would avoid getting it on them if possible.
