Keep i mind that with the engine installed that is one of the worst gaskets to replace due to the extremely poor access to the bolts. I would wait for the real gasket if it was me.

Yeah, coming from someone that's done it in car, yes it SUCKS. Get the real Toyota gasket as it's a metallic gasket unlike the paper gaskets in the cheap gasket sets (felpro included) that blows out and makes your life a living hell...

My 5k-mile-old felpro egr cooler gasket blew a few weeks ago. It's definitely something that you don't want to change again lol. Toyota part# 25685-42011, $32.35.

Wait for the proper gasket.

From your post it seems that the head is still off, you dont want to do this gasket with the head installed in the car. (especially after you used a crapy gasket, while the back of the head was still accessible)

Same here. I bought a special set of tools *just* for this job. It still sucked.

Flexible head gearwrenches and the adapters that snap into them that make them like a mini ratchet. Yep, still got scars on my hands from that job...

Same here. Well, it's not like I'm expecting them to go away within a few weeks. Now the psychological damage... I almost made a craigslist ad when that gasket blew...

I wish... I bought a special super low profile ratchet set - one like this: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200199074_200199074

It didn't work.

I ended up using a 1/8" drive regular ratchet and grinding the socket down to about half depth.

That was years ago, and I, too, still have scars from it - even so, it still beats the hell out of pulling the head!

The gasket burned from my seperate mistake. But take note of the EGR cooler gasket. Get the stocker, wait and do it right.
