That would be Travis' latest project. On that one it is a civic body/shell stretched over a Corvette chassis. Some of his other creations were a SBC 89 Supra and a 2J powered 87 (?) Corrollla. I am hearing after he finishes Civette that he is planning a 7M hybrid.
A local freind of mine swapped a SBC into an 89. Will have to see if he is up to some brain picking. He is finishing up on his latest creation, the Civette.
As JJ and SC have already pointed out they are nothing more than junk. If you would put the effort towards cleaning up your connections, I.E. corroded and exposed battery caqbles, corroded ground points and use a good battery you would be doing the same things they claim on their sites.
U-joints on any car isnt a common problem. Besides, you will never hear a u-joint when turning the steering wheel.
The 'knock' description tells me it is either a rack bushing or lower control arm bushing. With as much slack as is described, I would be willing to bet it is visually obvious.
Just the larger battery (bolt on) and smaller solenoid (connector) wires. There may als be a ground at the bottom starter bolt. I usually see that bolted to the block transmission brace however.
I still enjoy driving my Supra all over the place. I dont get so many comments on it. I do get a few people that pull onto our lot to get a closer look at it.
Have not tried a known good ECT. The thought has crossed the back of my mind. I feel like the problem lies in the valve body itself. I am afraid it will have to be removed from the vehicle to actually fix the problem. I am just really hoping that isnt case.
