Silicone heater hose has an outer barrier that is oil resistant. Although it will last longer than standard heater hose and wont suffer the same failure, it will fail. Any competent parts store will carry PS return hose in bulk or 1.5-2' lengths.
And I thought I was the only idiot that done this! I ususally do it with at least 2 engines worth of stuff in the same bin.
My latest flub was on my own car. I dropped my base timing down 2° for the cold weather as I didnt want to run too lean until I get the funds for my MAFT Pro. A couple...
It is usually the the side seal rails that leak. However, once these are leaking the side seals are worn or will tear getting them out. At the very least it is recommended that you get the side seals. Then follow this guide.

For the record Ifollow the diagram for the same reason Poodles noted. I happened to loo at my top when it was off and made note that there was difference. As for my problem, I took my top off last evening for another inspection. I found much of the body seam filler missing from the leading edge...
I pulled everything down yesterday afternoon and re-resealed everything again. Put a nice coating of baby powder over it all and set the targa top back in. Will pull it apart this evening after work if it is still leaking and let the baby powder tell me a story. Hopefully I got it right...
I am really thinking about this option.
Up until Sept it was a stock NA. Even now I am not pushing enough torque to twist it out. As far as I can tell everything checks fairly well.
Mine never leaked until I took the top off for the first time. Then the ordeal began. It just gets more...
Really? I swear it seems like a myth I am chasing trying to get my top to not leak water. Mine leaks water through the front trim between the front of the targa and windsheild and through the dome lamp assembly. New seal, 2 different seal rail, different attachment hardware, RTV and glass...
You need the larger forward clutch drum, second brake drum and first and reverse brake drum to install the extra discs. It would be much easier to source a turbo auto trans than just those component partrs.
This all depends on which line of rotors you buy. I just bought my Brembo rotors and PBR pads from NAPA. My first set of rotors also came from NAPA and I didnt have a problem with them until I created it.
60' 2.40
1/8 9.46
1/4 14.47
MPH 98.54
Mods: Driftmotion IC, 2.5" IC pipes, 3" DDP, full 3" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler. With better tires the 60' and ET will drop.
The road isnt closed. It is just a really desolate industrial area. There was only 1 plant open that day and we cleared the road before they let out so as not to cause any problems. We do this on an invite only basis and it is never publicly announced when or where we gather. Keeps the tard...
I would hardly call it a Civic anymore. Literally it is a Vette with a Civic body gabbed onto it. Google Civette sometime for an interesting build.
I let out of the throttle when he came around me the second time.
No local law approval. Just a very desolate road.
I didnt build it to sit in the driveway and idle. :naughty:
Ya, same VW. He was on street tires so I had some kind of chance.
Thanks. Those VWs have more potential than most people give them credit for. Surprised me the first time I saw it run.
