So doesn't that equal only 50W at 8Ω when their wired in series? What's the RMS rating of the subs? You're definitely putting way too much of a load on the amp. With the two subs in parallel (2Ω) they'd still probably need (and try to take) more than the ~200W they're each seeing...

Could be the toothed nylon line inside it is stripped. I think you *might* be able to tear the whole unit apart and just swap out that line or its drive gear, which ever is stripped.

Sorry, thought I'd already mentioned that I can't find a 16 pin display in blue or white.... so I'm planning on, eventually, building a small adapter/piggyback card for one of the displays that is available. I just need to find the time to map it all out and etch a board.

3" is fine on a N/A... yes, the engine doesn't get as much help from the scavaging effect of the exhaust already moving through the system, but the difference isn't terribly big and it only really effects you in the lower RPM.... at higher RPM the larger diameter helps out a fair amount. BUT...

Could be a worn timing belt or the idler (belt tensioner) needs replacing. Are you sure you're getting a good connection when you jumper the diag box?

Sorry, no. Hardtop here. Mounted on top of the plywood over the spare would be too high. Although it *might* fit if installed vertically over on the side of the trunk. I'll try to take some pics tomorrow... most likely won't happen until Thursday though.

It's always possible that when they decided on the car they wanted they did a quick search on how to disable the factory alarm. Unfortunately, that info is a little to easy to come by. I was given the impression that master keys for cars do not and have not ever existed.... got that...

I wouldn't go trying to force 'em to burn at anything as low as 2x, but try 16x and see what happens. If you haven't had one apart before, I recommend you try your luck with burning at different speeds first. Then, cleaning....
