You could gear it lower (the N/A LSD and open diffs are 4.30 for example) keep in mind that you're going to see higher RPMs for a given speed.... hence a mileage hit.

Over torquing will do it. New studs, replace all of them on that rotor, you can be sure the others were beat within an inch of their life as well.
