Got my oil pump in today, went ahead and shimmed it 5mm. Ordered new orings and filters for the 440s. Need to order the ARZ oil pipe mod. Also waiting on the machine shop for my head then I can finally start the build and get it in within a weekend.

Talked to my machinist, it won't be till Monday before he can inspect my last head. If it's good I'll be getting valve job while it's there. Along with MHG prep. So then I got all this for under $70 and that somewhat evened out my day.

So my dad brought home my block today, happy it got machined with the timing cover but... Worried that if I go MHG it won't seal, this will be my first time using a MHG so I might just be ocd . There is still some pits on the deck but he told my dad the RA on it was 15 microns. What do yall...
Today I removed the head from the motor currently in my car. Took me 3.5 hrs since whoever had this JDM motor before me stripped 2 headbolts... Hopefully one of these two I have will pass the inspection of my machinist. Picking up my block tomorrow as well hopefully the finish is good for MHG. I...

Anyone heard anything about the pennzoil platinum plus? I'm at work and a customer bought half of our 10w30 5qt jugs, they're on sale for $10! Might just get me a couple anyways

Went to my machinist yesterday to pick up my block, crank, head and rods. Unfortunately he didn't machine the block with the timing cover even though I told him to, and the head was no good one of the journals was really bad. So going to pull the head off my current set up(rod knock) which was...
I found that out rather quickly, I ended up doing that but now I can't get the hot side back on. The compressor housing went on like a glove. Should I heat up the hot side to get it in? I got the pins lined up

Kinda finished rebuilding my ct26, come to find out the hot sides cracked by the wastegate valve. Can't believe I didn't see it after scrubbing for so long. Now I'm stuck with either getting a new housing or saying f it and look into a new turbo.

Rebuilding the ct26, finished cleaning up the housings but damn it's cold outside. Calling it for today. Got a call machine shops heat went out and he can't cut anything since the machines require room temp of 65F oh well

Very nice that helped a lot! Thanks! I'm debating spraying them with VHT nite shade or shadow w/e but spraying them from the inside. What tint % did you use?

I see alrighty then I'll have to wait to order it then. I have all the stock turbo stuff from the spare gte motor just don't know if it would be better to go with the softline kit. Thanks!

Anyone know what size is needed for drilling the block for the soft line kit(NA-T) from DM? I'm having the machinist do it since I'm not comfortable drilling into the block. But I don't have the flange to take to him.

Thank you for adding to the car audio lol very clean! You are right about not needing thicker I use 3/4" but I blast bass [emoji48], should sound real nice! Would be nice to see how it fits with the targa on top.

Dropped off my NA block, crank and timing cover for machining. It's $100 to deck, $150 to bore, $150 for the crank. I thought that was pretty reasonable. My dad loves they're work. Anyone know what size tap to use for the oil line for the NA-T kit from DM and the extra knock sensor? I'm just...

I have HIDs, 6000k. BIG difference from stock. There's a write up on here actually several. It's not hard just time consuming to retrofit them
