So I'm getting everything ready to rebuild my spare NA motor. I planing on going NA-t I have a turbo motor that I'm saving for bigger power later, just switching all the stock turbo parts onto the NA. My problem is my my cars made in 10/89 and have the grey plugs in it currently with the NA ecu...

found this helpful. It pretty much sounds like a piggyback. Allowing you to remove the MAF and use a bigger GM sensor? All you would need is a wide band to keep an eye on your AFRs. You...

I am also looking into this bc I got a gte but I got bigger plans than the ct26 that came with it. I'm thinking of transferring over all the turbo parts onto my ge that I'm rebuilding. Only question I have is can this be done on ge engine harness. I have a coil pack, ignitor and 2 CPS's but no...
Thanks! Body is super straight. As for the motor the guy said it's never been rebuilt but that is obviously not true. Head has been redone when I removed the intake the valves had little to no carbon, removed spark plugs they looked almost new. Looked inside no signs of bhg, freeze plugs look...
Thanks Silver MK3, I do have TEMs and have LSD forsure. My dad put in a heavy duty clutch a while back but idk what brand or what it's rated at. Is there a way to tell once I get it out?
I'll have to source that and looks like the CPS is broken on the GTE motor so I'll have to source that...
[emoji106] awesome to hear! Then I'll just be sure to clean up the gte before putting it in. The ecu is gte and for a 5 spd. Might have my first turbo in a couple of weeks then.

So I have a 90's supra NA W58(rod knock) . Ran into an awesome deal for an 87 turbo with no tranny or engine but he has a 91 7mgte with "30,000" miles got both for $900. Compression checked out and looks pretty clean. Ecu and harness are intact. My question is would there be any issues swapping...
I actually just did that, when I removed #1 it didn't go away completely but it was muffled a lot. Didn't do that's with 2,5 or 6. Pretty much set it's rod knock lol oh well.

Not since the my last swap. I blew a head gasket a couple months back and after removing the head the pistons were pretty much done. So I went with a jdm 7mge. Ran fine up till now. I have some valve tap, my pops said we just needed to adjust the shims but we haven't touched that. The knock can...
So I had a little R&R from work and decided to have some quality time with the supra lol I had enough of just one speaker working so I tore her down ordered some 6.5" components to make use of my Kevin M speaker pods I got. I bought some kicker speaker wire to replace the RCA crap wire I used...
I redid the plywood in the trunk replaced with 3/4" finally got sick of the squeaking, removed all bracket transferred over and added extra support for the weight. Redid the wiring but turns out I have a short from one of my speakers pinned it down to rear right. Checking that out in the next...
That's probably what I'll do then, asin slave and master and ss clutch line, looks like I'll have something fun to do next weekend
