i just had my shop do a comression check. everthing is okay but he told me that coolant is leaking from the back of the head causing my car to overheat. im assuming that if i get a head i would need to do new head gasket too. anyway my qestion is, would a non turbo head work on a turbo? can i...
okay no bs. i had a sogi and now using a mookeh. i like the sogi because it is angle better, the mookeh has a shorter throw. and i chopped it shorter. anything with a raised pivot point is better and even better if its angle right
take the circular rubber seal off from where the wire broke on the clip, then use the smallest flat head and slide it down the slot where u remove the rubber seal. there should be a small metal peice that u push away from the plastic clip, while doing that use needle nose pliers and pull out the...
k finally finish the turbo swap. i dont know if its the trim or the lipp elbow but it pulls at 2100rpm and pulls really hard at 3500rpm. from 3psi to 12psi in less then 1 second. more low end torque and the front end wants to lift everytime i accelerate. thanks a lot for all the useful info guys.
for that broken wire all u have to do is take the rubbler seal off the back of the harness clip where the wire broke off. take a small flat head kinda like the one use to fix eye glasses. then slide the flat head into the hole where u pulled out the rubber seal. there should be a little slot so...
thats alright we ll meet up one of these days. oh yeah, those guys are a little to high class for me. one guy even said that he drives his girls car most of the time because he doesnt want to put wear on his car, wtf is that? arent we suppose to tune our rides to beat the shit out of them?:3d_frown:
i did the swap and when i started the engine there was water leaking from where the water line attaches to the turbo, i didnt get any gaskets for that part. so i have to order it from toyota in the morning, i also found a puddle of oil under the car after i drove it up on ramps, could this oil...
my fault , i just spoke to the previous owner of my car and he said it is a 46 trim not 42. and he still have the rebuild sheet, hes gonna email it to me
k thanks, i will have to talk to the old owner to see if he has the paperwork or info, no matter what a new turbo is better then an old one so i will do my first turbo swap this coming week.
im still confuse, does this mean that the stock trim is 50?
i have no idea what kind of seal is on the rebuilt turbo all i know is that its a 42 trim rebuilt, it came with the car when i bought it from a member of this forum he said it would give me an extra 20 ponies just to swap it over...
i went to the meet last week and didnt seen u there, so i left at 945. there were no mk3 or 4 so i wasnt excited about nothing, i was hoping to check out ride with the mk4 motor and maybe even ask for a ride shotgun to see if thats where i will head to eventually.
damn bro, youre lightning fast. with your experience i will have to listen to you and continue the install. by the way it seems that no one can tell me the trim on the stock ct 26. the turbo that i was talking about in this thread is supposedly an upgraded ct 26 with a 42 trim. can u tell me the...
