With my DM 6262 kit, 10psi (wastegate spring) uses 82% duty cycle on 2jz 440cc, stock fuel pressure.
I advise using bigger injectors to benefit from the turbo
1989 canadian mk3 turbo mt with a 1jz.
I used DM 1jz/2jz mk3 mount bracket for the swap, however the engine wouldn't go in until I gave the firewall a bit of a beating near the area where the A/C evaporator rest agains't. It barely got in and the rear turbo intake pipe was always touching the...
vibration might have something to do with a unbalanced driveshaft or worn u-joints. A worn carrier bearing driven for a long time will wear u-joints quite fast and it won't be perfect even with a new bearing. I ordered 3 new ujoints on driftmotion, waiting for them to change and balance the DS...
I used the turbosmart boost-tee on my 7m ct-26 57mm trim with great success.
I do believe there is a problem lying in one of those: turbos assembly/chargepipe/wastegates/actuators. Dropping back to "stock" boost under
here is my problem. Without boost controller it will spool to 11psi and stay there. With a turbosmart tee manual boost controller with added boost, it will spike to 14~16 psi then drop back to 11 psi by the time I get to 5500rpm (and all the way to 7500).
Then I removed the "gate system" from...
Update!!
The driveshaft u-joint was semi-seized, it would block and fuck up when I put the trans in reverse. The trans will get a new seal and the driveshaft is at the shop for a well-due rebuild.
I have a Soarer R154 with the supra extension housing, everything was perfect but then I rebuilt it and the output shaft oil seal leaks. I changed it twice now with brand new toyota seals, the fullface side facing the rear of the car and yet it keep leaking quite badly. The driveshaft is the...
Update on the situation, The car has just recently been pulled out of storage.
The lines T-ed together limit the boost to a solid 12psi but between 6700~8000rpm it creeps to 14-15psi and hit fuel cut hard. I guess there is nothing I can do since the stock wastegates port are too small.
It...
