I had a bad injector do something similar. On hot starts (especially after being on the highway) it would misfire and the idle would stumble. It ended up getting worse and made it easier to diagnose.
For the brake master, check under the dash and see if it has puked fluid down the inside of the fire wall.
Replacing the master won’t take long, I remember 1 bolt being hard to get to.
I wouldn't o-ring a 7M. My old motor was and it didn’t seem like a popular idea.
The rings end up being seriously close together. Mind you I never had an issue but was only running stock boost.

There is only like a millimeter between the rings.
Great to see a supra owner going to great lengths to deal with all issues before actually modding it.

I was worried someone was bastardizing a clean 92' but you're doing it justice.
The swap looks great and shifter position looks near perfect.
Any idea what the weight difference is between this and the old motor?
If the picture is right you will have to modify it to fit. It has v-band flange.
Also it looks like it has almost no muffler to it at all so it will be very loud.
I paid $500 bucks to have an exhaust made locally and it sounded like shit.
Buy a proper exhaust otherwise it will be waste of money.
