I had a bad injector do something similar. On hot starts (especially after being on the highway) it would misfire and the idle would stumble. It ended up getting worse and made it easier to diagnose.

For the brake master, check under the dash and see if it has puked fluid down the inside of the fire wall. Replacing the master won’t take long, I remember 1 bolt being hard to get to.

I wouldn't o-ring a 7M. My old motor was and it didn’t seem like a popular idea. The rings end up being seriously close together. Mind you I never had an issue but was only running stock boost. Pics or it didn't happen, right? There is only like a millimeter between the rings.

If the picture is right you will have to modify it to fit. It has v-band flange. Also it looks like it has almost no muffler to it at all so it will be very loud.
