I use the function instead of command start on a really cold day, go out start it leave the club on and lock the door, maybe turn the park lights on to enhance the illusion of command start.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing, I love the function personally but wasn't sure if Toyota actually made it like that. My 87, my friends 89, my old 85 Camry, buddies 85 Corolla and his two 80's pick ups do this so it made me think it was intentional, guess not.

One thing I noticed when I took my AC out is the lines running to the firewall had some electrical wires in with it. I ended up cutting them all but two of them happened to be for the ABS. I re soldered them and they're fine now just something to be aware of when you do it.

Good to know they suck, I had tried finding them in the vendor section and couldn't find many threads on them, good or bad. Thanks for the info. You would only really have to work about allowing for engine movement if it was still connected to the stock air box right?

Suprastore has that HPS one for $160. It comes with t-bolt clamps plus new clamps for the smaller hoses as well. Would the ribs on the stock one not affect airflow somehow?

FFIM and C.O.P ignition would probably solve the problem of all that stuff running over the valve covers:naughty:

Yeah I think "stage 0" is a great concept...unless you hate general maintenance and love wrecking motors. There isn't enough people that know how important that step is.

To the OP, which oil lines do you speak of? No line on your turbo should have anything to do with a turbo timer:icon_eek:

+1 Also my throttle sticks just like that and I found it is starting very small frays near the linkages on the motor, more specifically the one that kinda swivels, check that out maybe

An MBC is super easy to install, I even made a little mount for mine too :) I used one of the tabs that you bolt the stock air box too lol cut it off and bolted it somewhere else. The line on the bottom comes from the turbo, the one coming out the side goes to the wastegate

Nice! I took down one of the new turbo ralli art ones, he looked pretty embarrased having spent $30K and lost to me in my rusty $2K car lol. I was around 9 PSI too

I agree with black or gun metal. I have the same colour car and wanted to do something like this. I had the spare on one day and i was like dang this thing would look phat with gun metal or black rims

Yeah you hit fuel cut from the turbo trying to suck too much air in and create too much boost from my understanding. I know it has absolutely nothing to do with speed though. And yeah I raised mine to about 10-11 PSI and it would be okay but the only problem is I would hit fc when I banged it...

I bought mine from autopartsway, first time dealing with them and super satisfied. Got my arms in 2-3 days, and they were $135, and $150, no idea why the price was different side to side lol,
