FPU seems like you got it figured, not exactly sure about using the small nipple for the BOV I have mine off the same large one the front of the manifold where the FPU source is, Where that original tree thing went lol. the small one I use for my boost gauge and I believe the heater control...
Yeah the window lock button for some reason locks out power to the passenger window on both the driver and passenger switch. Kinda fucked if you ask me, the driver should never be locked out from operating their windows.
I just put a 1-4 vacuum manifold off the intake. One runs to the fpu vsv then to the fpr, next goes to PS, other goes to BOV. 4th one is capped off and read my boost from the small nipple on the manifold by the firewall. Only vacuum lines on my car.
Wouldn't go that far ^ I'm sure your mom still needs to go places...anyway the way you are going about it seems fine, more like a head gasket replacement for insurance not a rebuild. And you're gonna put fresh oil in and then change it after 500-1000 miles or whatever?
Yeah man that's totally it That stupid stock pipe/manifold thingy is fucked, that's why I built my own. But that line is definitely not for either vsv so good there
Yeah man if you have it out already and that far apart why haven't you taken the oil pan off to check it out down there? At least to re-seal it for sure. Might as well replace every gasket possible while it's out of the car...
Seems like a good call, I'm not running the factory lines anymore but from what I remember it went to the pipe attached to the front of 3000 pipe. In the diagram the line I'm talking about near the throttle body doesn't seem to have a line coming off it either. Only two on there missing a line.
Lambo doors are the biggest fail here lol. Wings close behind. Some look like they are trying to reflect the MKIV wing but, tacky. I like how one guy is rockin the sleepy eyes, that'd be me haha
Hmm not sure on getting it open but once you do, right where the latch is on the inside part of the glove box where the car specs are kinda thing, take the 4 screws out and see if the rod is still attached or if it's still even bolted on. Took mine off and one nut that hold the latch was half...
Also my block has already been bored 40 over would I need to jump up to the 86mm bore gasket or is the 84mm just enough seeing as how stock is 83mm and 40 over is 1mm?
Damn, gonna have to log that away and save up lol. I have another block and head that I want to do up over the years. Right now I'm just thinking of fortifying what I have now with some forged rods, better cooler, eliminate stock filter head, metal head gasket. Just to where I can reliably run...
From the video, seems like an injector, every time you make a pass by the fuel rail I hear it more. I had the same noise on my car right after I rebuilt. Stethoscope it for sure. I just put a screwdriver on the injector and it was rank loud, put it on intake runner and valve cover on same...
OK so I decided to bury the needle on the car, twice, bad fuckin idea. Now I'm back to another build (took out #6 rod and main) and am thinking of going MHG this time. The Top Line OEM replacement never blew (with ARP studs). But when I had the motor done six months ago we had the head planed a...
Fuck yeah buddy. Drove mine reliably, odd issue here and there nothing huge that left me taking the bus or anything. Then one day, bought some new tires was gonna put em on and change the oil, figured eh lets go burn these old tires off first. Well should've done the oil change first, or at...
