I need to relocate my power steering resivior. Does it have to be above the height of the pump to gravity feed or can it suck it in if I mount it level with the box?
When I put the motor and everything back together it got me thinking about the tranny connectors.. There are 2 and I think one has like 2 wires and one has 3, what the heck do they do? I know one would be the reverse lights but what about the other ones!??
Basically I removed the cc unit and under it was all this junk. There is 2 units of some sort and a vacume tree. I think one wento the back of the intake vacume but I got them tangled up when I took out the cc. What do they do and is one of the lines on the tree suppose to goto the manifold...
Hey can someone help me clear this up while on the subject of wastegates, on my HKS style 50 mm wastegate there is a vacume thread on top and one on the bottom I was told the one one the bottom (near the blow down tube) goes to the turbo housing and not to use the other one on top. I dont...
Why is the Cressida rated at 190 HP and the Supra 200 HP ?
If they are the same exact motor somethings gotta be different here, you dont loose 10 HP and 8 ft-lbs just because the motor is in a different body. What is the difference?
I just looked at my old motor with rod knock, the #3 cyl had a bad bearing all around it is a goldish copper sparkles and it moves side to side freely. I think the golish sparkles have somethin to do with the bearing exploding?
guys calm down.... the knock is NOT up and down knock its only side to side, the up and down is solid!! You guys get so skeptical about everythng
ARZ- "If you can feel the play in the direction the piston travels Up and Down"
no there has to be a warranty, I had to change the oil pan and oil pump, they sent me a cressida motor. I cant imagine a low miles cressida automatic being beatin that hard, its in no way a sports car. I just need to know if its normal to have that space in there or not. I dont wanna fire it up...
My friend pointed out there is play in my new motor between the con rod and the crank. Its a low miles motor, I took a short clip of the play, is it normal? It kinda sounds like rod knock but I havent fired it up yet, tell me wut u think, heres the vid THX

change the oil pump, why not the bearings, why not the pistons and rings, I might as well just rebuild, the point of a low miles motor is not to replace everything
