UMMMM yea there are oil seals in the turbo and they do blow I herd a pop and my downpipe and elbow are full of oil, why are you being such an asshole and being sarcastic, do u think your better then me because u think you know more? We are all here to learn stuff this sarcasim and attitude needs...
BTW how hard is it to change oil seals in a T6/T4 hybrid? Is it expensive to get done ? If it was a NA all that would happen is you would have to change it but since its a turbo car u have to risk the turbo seals as well, a little harder to fix then buying a new oil filter....
Yea he says 5mm would suffice and 14 would coil bind the spring, he dident say 8 would, and he would "go with 7 mm at the most". I went with 8 it dont sound that far off. It seems like this is a VERY risky and time consuming mod to do!! If 8 bound up the spring then if I went with 7 it would...
IJ - "No Where in the sticky does it say to run 8mm"
ummm..... I really dont know what post you guys are reading but Shaeff clearly states
Shaeff - "basically, all you do is place between 5-10mm of washers in where it says in the diagram, and it'll raise your oil pressure a decent amount"...
its a NA there is no turbo feeds, why is using the oil cooler lines a no no? I read you can shim up to 10 MM I only did 8!! My guage went 80+ and the filter gaskets poped. my turbo poped im super fucked it was a expensive T6 brand new turbo... I used the washers with the holes in them and...
The oil filter blew the seal apart, its either backwards or the pump is messed up!! I did the shim 8 MM like it said. I have the top adaptor line running into the top of the turbo and the oil pan line running from the bottom of the turbo
On the turbo block the line running from the top of the oil filter adaptor is the main? And the oil line taped into the oil pan is a return? Thats how I have it hooked up but I think its backwards because I ran 60 PSI and it blew apart =( is the top a return and the line out of the pan a main?
Got my new motor in and its getting spark but no fuel. I put a walbro 225 pump in during the install of the new motor but I hear the pump running but its not putting any fuel to the rail, I have a decent amount of gas in the tank I dont get it, the pump is running but no fuel... I cranked it...
My water IC setup is more efficient then any or most air to air street or strip. I have a specially made heat exchanger that is tripple the size of any other with wave technology, my IC sits by the normal cold intake setup cut out in the front, I have a bosh waterpump that comes on at 45 deg and...
The GTE can run a good 20 PSI or more, what about the NA-T? How much boost can that take? Its only 9:2 not that bad, I would guess about 13-15?? I guess it depends on tune, octain and knock, BTW here is my new NA-T setup, let me know what u think... im gonna start off with 10 PSI
