You don't have a place anywhere around you that does ceramic coating? yep =( moreover, I haven't place to buy 45* aluminium pipe... Yes, my country exports Al, but car-modifying and tuning industry is weak here... So, wanna some al? no problem - buy few tonns of it ;-(
figgie...

thank you for advices, but they aren't applyable to me =( I can't ceramic-coat intake (see my location)... And as for IC spray - I'm going water injection soon, so washer tank will be needed for other system ;-)
PS: one more question - where can I order 4" intake? (I mean...
Hello.
I upgraded my turbo a bit and rised boost up to 15psi.
It is very hot outside (about 29*C) and I read 65*C at idle and 82*C under full boost (4th gear pull). Temp sensor is in 3000 pipe. I have Spearco IC and 2.5" hardpipes... any advices how can I lower intake temperature? (besides...
well, may be someone going to kill me for such advice... but my opinion is very simple... Can you afford to open engine and rechek all measurements, clearences etc? If yes, stop driving right now and take your engine aprat.
If no (and your shop can't do it for you) - forget it. Drive till it...

BTW, it doesn't matter where timing belt now. Just set crank at 0*, then align camshafts with marks up and put timing belt on. After that check your ignition timing... (using timing light)
Bugwugger you setup is sh!t.
1) If you tune your engine (timing and fuel) for water/meth - you will ruin engine when it fails (I don't say "If", I say "when").
2) If you just dump water/meth in your engine without tune - it produce less power.
PS: your setup _must_ fail, fuel injector can't...
running two years without them... mani support was lost by machine shop and turbo support can't be fitted cause aftermarket turbo...
Zero problems here, but I've redone my exh. mani studs...
So, these parts aren't super critical but it's better to have them in place. I'd say without them you...
gixxer750 try to change air gaps in VR sensors... I mean distance beetwen magnetic pick-up and toothed wheel... Make them smaller and try... Then make em bigger and try again...
Also ensure you have VERY good ground. Poor grounding may cause a lot of electrical noise...
PS: I hope you are...

Fix your crank pickup problem! Actual timing (check with timing gun) must be exactly the same like AEM is programmed! Lock timing at 10btdc and figure your problem out!
Once again: you can't do nothing unless you get stable engine position signal from CPS in whole RPM range.
I don't think so... I can buy GT35R with standart exhaust housing only (T3 flange, no internal wastegate). So that's not mine solution.
Such adapter (stock manifold-> T3 with external WG) would be great!
1/2 off: are there any solutions to bolt-on GT35R? I mean some kind of adapter with WG outlet + downpipe...
Here's my situation: I'm in Russia and shipping from US isn't cheap. SP61 for example with shipping costs here more than GT35R from Garret's dealer..
But on the other hand, I have...

privet! =)
I don't know much about GM cars... That blackbox can work flawlessly on GMs but not good in 7M...
I see two reasons at least:
1) GM's ECU might be using signal from that box with engine position in mind (knock window and so on).
2) that box has filters that are tuned...
Are you sure that such combination will show actual knocking (not just noise)? If you want just another gadget in your car - you are welcome, but if you are looking something to detect/monitor detonation, I wouldn't trust that casper's thing.

Check your timing with timing light and ensure that it is EXACTLY like AEM set in ALL RPM RANGE (not just idle).
PS: I suppose CPS problem too. I had same thing with my Haltech... In some RPM ranges trigger counter was erratic, so it took much time to solve problem (changed air...
You can't do adequate knock detection using LED only.
I have Link KnockBlock connected to stock knock sensors, so I can hear my engine via headphones... Although KnockBlock has built in filter, there are ALOT of noise after 4000RPM.
Of course, You can definately say, that it is just noise (you...
I've just figured out, that my stg 3 exhaust wheel is similar to CT-26 (2.23"/2.56" vs 2.05"/2.68") and many people run 60-1 updates on CT's... (with small exhaust wheel). So, I guess, 62-1 will work even with my small exhaust wheel... Any comments?
