Hello guys!
I have SupraSport Stage 3 bolt-on turbo (old-style, not BOSS). It is T3/T4 turbo... Exhaust wheel: T3 stage 3 (2.23"/2.56").
Intake wheel: T04E (2.23"/2.95").
I want to upgrade it a litte: exhaust to p-trim (t4) or stage 5 (t3) and intake to 62-1, so I will get something very...
to SevenMKIII: I don't know about connectors, but I'm sure that all 7M-GTE igniters are 3-channel multiplexed, so they are compatible.
I don't see any reason why Toyota should change connectors pinout too... Moreover, my pre-88 igniter has green connectors and its pinout is the same as in...
Do you flowtest manifolds after porting? or you are porting just ports to be approximately equal? Aren't you afraid some cylinders will get different amount of air and will be too lean or rich?
Ric, you are wrong. Stock PCV system goes into intake. There is always oil fog under valve covers => in PCV system too (even on fresh build engine). Some oil inside intake is normal and doesn't mean that something is bad (need to be repaired/replaced asap). Just maybe that something is not...
try to reverse hoses going from/to solenoid... Put "COM"'s hose to another "NO" port and vice-versa.
My AVCR wasn't affecting boost at all (like you described), when I connected hoses to solenoid in wrong order.

If you were boosting till 14psi, your WG spring should be very hard. I don't think it can be "moved" easily by the hand.
Also check exhaust (turbine) housing for cracks and shaft freeplay. My first Ct-26 died with huge shaftplay and cracked housing... It couldn't produce any...
I have done this mod. Works fine with Haltech E8.
As for mounting 5-2 and 3-4 coils... I threaded them (coil has stock mounting hole), cut small stripe of alluminium, drilled two holes in it and connected coils together (using screws in threaded holes and piece of Al). So two coils are joined...
Well, even in Russia we have custom made AFPR's (sorry, no picture). Friend of mine on local factory modded stock unit and it works fine =)
I don't think it is very hard thing to do, if you have some skills and equipment.
PS: sorry for my English...
Well, I've solved problem. Tried different air gaps and gain values, but it didn't help alot. Then I changed trigger edge from rising to falling (so home edge will be shifted a little from trigger edge), adjusted timing and all become ok. Engine revs fine from 700 till 6500 without problems...
Well, I tried lower gaps - problem is worse. My E8 has VR decoder filter, so I can change gain and filter level. My settings are in lower range (0 or 1, max value is 15 iirc).
Haltech forum is not such fast like SM, and there is no 7M's... I know some people run Haltech with 7M, so I think...

Man, I'm almost sure, your trouble is in CPS readings. I've installed Haltech E8 recently and have same trouble too. In some RPM range your standalone (and mine too) can't read cam position teeth. That causes wrong RPM readings. But the worst thing, that it causes wrong map point. So...
Hello.
I have installed E8 on my 7M-GTE but have some problems with home and trigger setup. If I set home gain to 1 car starts fine and reads stable "trigger count as last home" till 5K RPMs. At 5K timing mark jumps off very often and trigger count @ last home reads 23 or 25 (instead of 24). If...
Yes, I'll try search =) But sometimes quick answer helps better.
Moreover everybody write about "surging" but I don't understand what is it. Is it that I called "-ow-ow-ow"? ;-)
PS: Thank you for clarification.
Hi guys!
I recently installed Greddy type-RS replica BOV and it sounds like Fow-ow-ow-ow (at 8 psi). My friend's BOV sounds like loud FOW!! and I like it best.
Can I adjust mine to sound similar? (turn harder or softer?)
So how BOV should be adjusted for optimal performance (how to...
