I was running 550 + Lex without AFPR last year on T3/T4 bolt-on. It was pig rich under boost (10.8:1 iirc) and I have fuel cut around 20psi.
PS: but I dont think rising boost w/o WBO2 is good idea... too many things can lead to disaster.

Engine feels ok. I've installed standalone recently and replaced spark plugs just 200 miles ago (NGK).

Ok, I'll check tomorrow... May be one of shocks is shot already... At least it would be less pain than cracked subframe
Yes, I was in motion... about 3K RPMs in 2nd gear, then floored it and got this problem about 4300... as for surging/lunging - idk... It feels like driving the road with a lot of small bumps on high speed...
Hi guys.
I've replaced clutch recently (put Aaron's stg 3 kit) and now breaking it in (200 miles already). Today I had to go WOT in 2nd gear and when my turbo kicked in my car began to jog... I've let gas pedal off immediately... It looked like something began to slip and then grab again (few...
broken release bearing/snap ring... My clutch died recently the same way...
You need to get under the car and see - does really fork move when you press pedal... And if it moves - problem isn't in cylinders... Are you sure cluch and release mechanism assembled right?
+++ ECU will advance timing if you remove fuel... Actually you don't remove fuel, you say to ECU "engine consumes less air".
+++ Something may blow, bc ECU will see low AFM signal and advance timing too much (like it runs off boost e.g.)...
So, on the one hand running stock ECU with too much...
Hi guys!
At first, thank you for advices in my last thread. I've just removed my R154 alone. It wasn't very easy, but I knew what to do, so It was straightforward...
So, I've removed my tranny and found two very sad things:
1) My input shaft has very big shaftplay. Bearing is shot, I think...

Well, actually 20$ for DUI is very good deal. I had to pay 200$ few years ago for it... But they could take away my driver's license for 2 years, so I had no choice...

That sucks =( I was lucky to drive this 'test run' extremely rich (10.5:1) and I hope I haven't melted anything...

Unfortunatelly I haven't tools and space to remove whole engine-tranny assembly =( So I'm going to have some sex under Supra ;-)

We have a lot of rednecks and Ladas here... Need one? ;-)
As for rising front of motor, I knew this trick when I was replacing...
bwest
hm... sounds strange to me... how much boost are you running?

Today before my clutch gave up I mounted alluminium plate between IC and bumber that directs air to IC... My intake temp become 10* C lower, so I get 70*C instead of 82 after 1/4 mile pull... I like it. Moreover, I'm...
Thanks for anwers! SM rocks!!
Yes, I'll read all possible documentation, jack car as hight as it possible and do all job with help of my friend =)

Ok, here's my story: my realise (sp?) bearing was noisy (when I pressed pedal - sound went away), but I haven't replace it cause was...
Hi guys!
My clutch just died... I can't shift gears anymore while engine running... I haven't good shop near my location, so my options are - replace clutch myself or tow the car to redneck shop that used to rapair Lada only ;-)
So, is it possible to replace clutch if I rise car using jack...

There is heatsoak... at idle sensor shows aprox. 60* If I drive without boost - temp begins to lower... If I drive at boost 3-4 gears - temp rises till 80*C... So heatsoak isn't the only problem.

:-) Fortunatelly I live not in Moscow itself but 60 miles away from it.

Thank you for input, but IIRC your setup isn't stock at all (I mean FFIM etc)...
Looks like Spearco IC is shit =( Local turbo-guru said that problem is in IC itself b.c. temp is significaly higher than...
Where are all maft-pro users?
Guys, I'm really worried very much cause my turbo friends told that 80*C is too hot (they have about 48*C under full load, but not 7Ms)...
So is it normal (for 7M) or I just have some problems... If it's normal - looks like FFIM should give some more power...
