the speed sensor is for abs. you will need it if you want abs

check the battery cables. it sounds like something is loose or not connecting right

that was borhors old mk3 and i believe it was custom with 2 mufflers. you can put a mk4 exhaust muffler on a mk3 but it will not bolt up and fit properly.
